Cheers! There’s benefits to both but if you’re just starting out, might be worth the PC first and then you can expand with other equipment as you need to

Just start! If you’ve got an old desktop that you can use, get it setup and start learning ASAP. It’s easy to get caught up in KZbin and wanting to buy this and that but once you’ve started, you’ll have a better idea for what might work for you and what you want to achieve!

You should be able to buy a third party VDSL modem in order to bypass the EE router

I purchased it on eBay, it doesn't look like the listing is live anymore but the title was '18U Server Rack Network Cabinet 19 inch 570 x 600mm Black'. I don't have the door on but it did have 'Linxcom UK' printed on it
