I would love more vids going through some psych nursing stories,opinions on different mental illness drugs,and more interviews with people from different backgrounds being patients, psych nurses, maybe even providers(doctors) etc. Love the channel bud!

Is Psych nursing physical in the sense that there is back breaking work? I understand the being of the feet component; however, are there instances where one has to bend over, turn patients, etc. There are forums that say if one wants to save their back to not touch geripsych. Do you have to access lowbeds and bend in non geripsych units?

No it's VERY easy on the body. You do get a lot of walking in, and I think that's a perk to the position :). (Geripsych when I worked that THAT was hard work and it's ever the only position I worked as a nurse where I felt like I earned my hourly wage) =P

Also, as I do feel it to beneficial for me to speak with a psych nurse - I also know that I should actually experience the hospital first hand. Did you shadow a psych nurse before going to nursing school and how does one go about doing that with no credentials?
