I wanted to be a RNFA because if you work nights, you are assigned to a call room. $120/hr & free rent if you find a big enough hospital willing to accommodate you. Same for CRNAs as well. I am more into the ER than the OR, so I am doing an emergency psychiatry fellowship

Hi how many years of experience for you to get into travel nursing
@A_Psych_Nurse7 ай бұрын
typically you need at least 1 year
@spg17947 ай бұрын
even though only 1 year is typically required, i highly recommend at least 4 years , remember you'll be expected to jump in with just a short orientation

@A_Psych_Nurse Please STOP telling travelers to pocket all their tax free pay. The IRS allows tax free because you are DUPLICATING expenses. You do you, but you are providing illegal advise AND ruining the pay structure for companies to offer future travel RNs. EDIT OR TAKE THIS DOWN PLEASE 🙏

I encourage you as well to do your research. If IRS audits you, and you have been taking a tax free stipend but not duplicating expenses.....you might find yourself in a pickle for sure. During Covid things were crazy......but everyone is getting back to "normal", and IRS included. I have a feeling they will be keeping an eye on travel nurses in particular. Uncle Sam wants his money. So keep your receipts and show that you are duplicating if you are receiving a tax free stipend. Even if you do come home on your days off, you should be paying an Airbnb for a room the whole week, or a campsite for your RV, Etc.
