Most refuse the help. Ive seen many people offered help and blatantly say they are not ready or dont want it. Which I understand no point using up resources if they are not ready but just shows you there is plenty of help out there but they don’t want it.

We need forced treatment in locked facilities at this point. I cant imagine if it was my child on the streets addicted to drugs. They are killing themselves. They are an imminent danger to themselves at the very least. Jail doesnt help most people. But i think parents/ family should be able to blue paper people into long term treatment & the government needs to pay for that. So many are dying everyday. Instead of jail mandate rehab in a locked facility much like a psychiatric hospital but for addicts.

As an addict myself, clean since June 17, 2019, it shocks me how this lady is acting about people sharing their drugs with her when she’s withdrawing like she did for them. Addicts don’t give a shit about anything except their drug. They don’t even care about themselves. They live, eat, sleep, breathe that drug. She almost seems sincerely shocked and bothered that people won’t throw her a bone when she’s sick and my brain just isn’t processing that. Other addicts don’t give a fuck if you’re literally dying, if it interferes with them getting high. Just a rant because hearing her talk about it like that genuinely shocked me.
