We went to Walmart. Saw a man outside with a sighn. We gave him 5 dollars and he walked in with us and bought water. Explained how he had been outside for 4 hours in 100+ heat and we were the only ones who stopped to help him. What is wrong with this world? That we forgot we are all humans. I remember when my mom and I was parking to go inside Burger King a 17 year old homeless boy was asking people can. can buy him something to eat two families walked around him so we walked back outside told him to come and sit with us I brought him what he wanted he couldn't believe it he asked why did are you doing this for me I replied cause chose too . When we were done eating I gave him 25.00 and gave him a hug and prayed for him ☝🏽🙏🏽😍

Im a burger king employee myself, and someone placed an order the other day and never came back to pick it up, and as i left work i found a homeless woman nearby and i gave the food to her. I could eat BK anytime but she couldnt. We need more people to help those in need

I had nearly the same thing happen to me a week or 2 ago, my wife and i live in a tent in a forest and i was going to get flashlight batteries started talking to a old guy and after i left the dollarstore the same old man came out and gave me the food he bought himself and also gave me $25.00 cash at the same time telling me he knows how it is that he has been in same position, god bless ppl like this

I had this happen to me, I was going to get a sub sandwich and was asked for a handout, at first I told the guy no because I'm disabled and on a fixed income just above the poverty level, I took maybe 3 steps turned around and gave him everything I had short of my sandwich money, and I'll never regret it. My mother taught me it's your generosity that matters and the thought that counts not what they might do with it. What they do with your generosity is on them.

So true. I stopped to help a man on the side of the road. And so many people were behind me that I was afraid I hit him with my car. But I stopped and went to park and asked if he was ok. And he said he was. I gave him whatever I had in my trunk from the food bank even though I didn’t have much either. I gave him a bag of chips and two soups. A week later, I’m leaving target and an old man walks up to me and says, “ I know you.” And he proceeds to tell me, that he doesn’t know my name, but he remembers that I gave him food the previous week. That was such a great feeling. 😊l

I know some people say oh don’t give money they’ll spend it on drugs as an excuse not to help, but it’s about helping and empowering people to have that choice and for every person who does use it for drugs, others will use it for food. Shake hands and exvhange names with people hand them out, your kids may be shy or opposed but you will change their lives forever. Make ut something you do 1 or 2 times a year. When I was 8 years old I went to Walmart with my mom at 6:30 am before school to do some errands and I saw a man outside the store with shredded up clothes and no shoes, we went inside and I asked my mom for $5 which at the time was a bit ,so I got a big bag of chips and a Dr.pepper, I went outside and I handed the man the food, he was thanking me and was on his knees appreciating me, as a normal 8 year old I felt a bit awkward and went back inside. When my mom and I left to get me to school that man saluted to me as I left; now it was 40 degrees that morning in Louisiana I don’t know how he withstood it. But the next day I went to Walmart again, and I didn’t see him. To this day I still think about what happened to that man and all I hope is that he paid that good deed forward. (It was like 2016ish)

I'm currently not working full time and since I'm getting assistance with food for me and my son, I've given some of my extra grocery food to people I've seen in the streets or buy them food. This is sad but true. I never pass up people like this. I pay it forward weekly. Or I help people who are stranded because of vehicle problems. But I was raised this way. I still practice it at 57 yrs old. I've been homeless multiple times with and without wife and 3 kids. So I know from experience what this is like.

My family raised me that if you see someone who is hungry, if you can, feed them or help them get food. If they're cold, help them get warm (hot food, drink, clothing, or blankets). If they're sad, listen. Kindness didn't take much, but unfortunately some see that it's more troublesome than it has to be. Unfortunately they tend to treat everyone like they're wanting it for other reasons. It's not always the case and unfortunately people suffer because of it.

You do this in South Africa and you will learn to hate helping the poor, I’ve done it multiple times, even I have come off the streets thanks to my wife and I wouldnt help. You welcome them in, they steal, they abuse the help or if you help them in the streets with food they will throw it aside because it’s not what they want. We recently had serious floods in Durban and one whole section of the community got together and made Briyani (Indian Dish) for the locals who suffered from it and 9/10 people threw the food aside on the street saying to the ones who helped, that they are inconsiderate for not asking what they wanted to eat.

I had a similar experience while living in Washington state, I tried giving food & water to ppl with signs. Come to find out they were not legit homeless. They had a house, on Social security, state assistance and still chose to go out and beg on the streets.

Honestly your statement isn't true at all.. Most people I know are generous, but they are sick of being scammed and taken advantage of.
