As a Preacher for almost 40 years I have learned alot on this road of reaching out to others.
Sometimes you have to give of yourself till it hurts, and then give some more. I love our homeless, and I hate the condition they are in. I have been trying to start a mission for years in Beaufort SC but nobody wants it, or if they do I don't see it. I know many can not afford to give financially, and I don't push finances. I make a way for those who would like to support financially by providing a link, but I am not begging for support. If seeing the condition of our homeless does not move you to help, then I would be wasting my time begging. Do what your heart tells you, and go from there. Thank you, and I am not one to stand around and argue back and forth with people. I heard him doing a lot of threatening, and if he was going to do it, he needed to just do it and quit talking about it. I am a Preacher and do not want any trouble with our homeless or anyone else, but they need to understand that I have not always been a Preacher, and will not be pushed around with threats. I re-watched the video once again because I was too shocked with James behaviour to really grasp the interaction the first time. He actually grabbed a brick to threaten you with. Please don’t go back to that camp. Please tell Doug to tell the others to meet you at this location from now on. I am so concerned for you. He threatened you with a weapon. As a young woman who also feeds and helps the homeless, this really made me think twice!! He forgot all you have done for him and turned on you like you were his worst enemy. Very scary.

This actually happened in the parking lot of a Shell Gas Station where I found Doug and fed him. James rode up there on a Bike because he missed his hot meal back at the camp and wanted to let me know that was unacceptable. I would have fed him there at the Gas station but James felt he was better than that. All I can do is press on and help someone else with the hot meal he refused. Lord Bless you Sandra

I agree with what you were stating about going out on Thanksgiving. I went out the day after to deliver some much needed items to the unhoused & their pets. They said four different organizations/social service agencies brought them a meal on Thanksgiving day. It was too much! But where are all these dinners the rest of the days of the year? People need meals other days too. I wish they would expand to bringing them a meal even one day each week. They don't always have busfare to get to the soup kitchen for a meal. It is also very cold here now in CT. 29 degrees last night! Just awful and so heartbreaking. God bless you for all you are doing and may our Lord continue to keep you safe.

I have had a run in with James before, and this time he bit the wrong hand again. James pan handles and told me one day he has a wife and kids and they all live with him in his tent homeless, and the truth is James has never been married. James is unpredictable but I tried to ignore his lies and help him regardless of his dangerous mood swings. James burnt this bridge of help. I cant have him around my other homeless causing trouble while I feed those who really appreciate the help. I always try and go the extra mile, and Yes, when James came and started his threats, Doug got his things and left because he knows how bad James can get. Lord Bless Milton

I feel the same Milton. Preacher Tom works so hard to provide for them. He doesn’t have to do it or gets paid to do it. He does it out of love for the less fortunate. The same as myself. We put our own money and take time from our lives and families to do this. So when people do things like this it ruins it for everyone else. Their lack of appreciation and disrespect makes you rethink things. Threatening to shoot him and bash his head in over a meal is unacceptable and dangerous behaviour. The only reason he didn’t do something was because of preachers Tom camera. And Doug should of stayed and made sure Preacher Tom would be ok. Not cool.

Everything looks delicious. We have people that want our food trucks to deliver. I tell them we would be happy to after everyone else that comes to the truck is served if we have food left. We get people that want to return their donation clothing (now filthy) for another size. It takes remembering you work for Jesus and Jesus didn't heal or feed everyone. Great job. Keep going working for Jesus showing his love. Praying for you and James. Paul often times after being rejected went to the edge of the city, brushed the dust from his saddles and walked on.

Thank you Sherrilee, In situations like this you have to look at a couple of scriptures. one is Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. and the second scripture is Proverbs 26:4-7 4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him. 5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit. I was not going to respond to James' foolishness over a Hot Meal he could of had. Many of our homeless think because I am a Preacher that I am a Push Over, and they can do and act any way towards me they want, but I have not always been a Christian and a Preacher. I was before as they are and loved to fight, but God changed that in me and now I try and remember Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: But grievous words stir up anger. I was just talking to Doug about being a Testimony and then the Devil shows up to try and destroy my testimony in the middle of a parking lot. God is good and I thank the Lord that nothing came of this foolishness from James, but James is no longer welcome at my table until he apologizes for such foolishness. This is not the first time James has cussed God and me, and I let it go and still tried to be a blessing too him, but not this time. Thank you again my sister, and Lord Bless

Dear Pastor Tom.....that was hurtful to me to see James treat you like that.....I can only think he is under stress and did not mean that. I already know that you forgive him. Who can really know what's going on in the minds of the homeless. I know this without a doubt from all the videos I have watched.....you are respected and your work appreciated. You have that from me and I live in Ohio and have never met you. We are all susceptible to snap under extreme circumstances, I know I have several times as a stressed-out now retired truck driver. I would have to seek out God's forgiveness....and unfortunately Pastor Tom, God would allow me me to suffer the consequences of my indiscretion to teach me a hard lesson. I know what it's like to be bitter and angry all the time because of so much stress and anxiety and misfortune. I pray God will help James.....so many people are hurting in this world right now and are stressed beyond rational thinking. James is not welcome at my table anymore. he will have to truly humble himself before I will help him again. This is not his first time to cuss me and God. He is not just a threat to me, but he is a threat to those I am serving. I cant have that foolishness when I am trying to help people who are in need. Lord Bless you MOE my friend.

PS.......I have watched this video twice now, and umm, that is not the true James I have come to like and admire.....something is up with him.....has to be! I pray God will help him.....this is not James. I have watched all the videos.....and, at heart, this NOT James! God, as you have helped me thru torturous times.....please help James! This is not who he really is in his heart. Thank you Lord! ❤

I had James cuss me and God many years ago for no reason, but I overlooked his foolishness back then and fed him anyway, but this time he is not welcome at my table anymore unless he humbles himself and apologizes for such foolish behavior. He is unpredictable and I cant trust him. I was told that he has been doing Crack. I don't know for sure if that is true, but I have never been threatened because of someone not getting a hot meal. I would have served him one right there if he had wanted it. He must feel he is entitled, and because he did not hear my horn blow back at the camp area, and because no one walked back there to get him up and let him know to eat, this is unacceptable to him, and therefore they must be yelled at and threatened. Terry is the one who normally goes back and gets James, but Terry figured he must have heard the Horn Blow and did not walk back there. The Lord knows, and I will continue on as always, helping those who want the help. This is just an extra plate of food for someone that will appreciate it more. Lord Bless my friend.
