When I used to collect for a charity for children, it was always the lowest paid people who gave the most -- and the top-salaried people ignored the request to help us at work to buy Christmas gifts for the children in foster homes.

@@Dan5819 that's probably how they got rich..on the backs of others.. I donate to certain things in a regular basis..I am unable to go out to shops now but when I used to if there was a homeless person I'd always get them a juice drink..sandwiches.. sausage rolls..crisps ... some chocolate..or cake. .never gave money as they needed food more than what they use the money for..so many people had a go at me saying I encourage them to be there begging.. I just said they're not doing you any harm are they.. you just never know but for the grace of God go I.. in the future I could be that person or a member of my family..I live on a very tight budget and don't really have spare money but that individual needed it more than I did..I can still buy my groceries and feed my pets well..I've got food in my freezer and cupboard. A roof over my head and heat.. compared to that individual I AM rich... one good turn is what my parents used to say. I was raised that way.. and if I'd have gone home without doing something even as little as I did I'd have beaten myself up for being so selfish. I love giving gifts to family and friends too..the joy I feel giving is just so addictive. .great feeling..I feel sorry for people who don't get that feeling because its life affirming..🇬🇧💞✝️🙏👍

Growing up as a young teen who stayed out late at night, I met so many homeless guys/women who struggled with addictions. They always looked out for me gave me food, money for a drink, hell some of them were lucky enough to get a place to stay with a few rooms and would let us stay there so we weren’t out on the streets all night. I’m so glad I got out of that habit though and found a way for myself.

@@scorpiocara6798 I was exposed to a lot of things I shouldn’t have been around growing up. Started smoking when I was 12 and when I got into high school started sneaking out on the weekends and staying out during summer walking with friends building stuff in the woods, smoking and drinking. Going to hookah lounges. Both of my parents were addicts so all I had to do was say I was staying at a friends house and they wouldn’t question it because I never got in trouble.

I grew up pretty similar. Got well acquainted with the homeless people in my neighborhood as a teenager and aside from a couple they were really good people and would give you the shirt off their back. @@brucelucasjr5856, Sorry you have had to endure things to just get a job. I've had people tell me to just get off SSI and go back to work 🤔 well I'm going to be 61 next month and my disability is now leading me to Parkinson and other medical conditions that would not allow me to hold onto a job. I know what you mean about " get a job ". My husband died and then my mom died 1 year apart, other than a couple brothers up in Indiana I have no other family ( I'm definitely not moving to Indiana) so unforseen things sure do occur and some people seriously judge everything without even knowing what the circumstances are. Hope you're doing well. For me I'm doing so-so... it's hard because I had to sell my home after my husband died ( that was paid off) and my SSI is only $1,350 month ... so I can't afford to pay rent. It's also sad that low income housing isn't an option or I should say the list to receive is a mile long; Impossible!!

The same reason why you watch messed up shows and movies is why the world is messed up : a perfect world would be boring and life is just a show you see and you're just a character. I help out homeless people when I can. One woman was having a blood sugar drop, and I understood her. I gave her half of my Twinkie cake. She was grateful.

See this is what we need to see more of is acts of kindness where you don’t need to be chucking thousands of dollars at somebody. You just need to help them in anyway that you can at the time. If that means buying them a meal or a drink or like this a blanket to warm them up just any little gesture. A lot of people need to realise that it doesn’t have to be big to you because it’s huge to the person you’re giving it to. 💛💛💛✨✨✨

Yes indeed! I wish more people would understand that!! We live in a "me first" world now & we all need to stop & show love & kindness to our neighbors & people we don't know. Even a smile & a quick "hello" can go a long way to one person.

That blanket was beautiful! It’s nice to feed the hungry and homeless! We are all Gods children, some of us have addictions hard to break, and become homeless

That was so Kind of him to help the man out❤️❤️ And he took the time to ask him what does he like to eat and made sure he was warm with a new blanket. That was just so beautiful!! This inspires me to help people out who are in need. I have a dream to use my Avon business to help people out who are in need and give them free products that they can use. I pray that God continues to bless the homeless man and the man who helped him🙏❤️❤️

This is so good to see. This guy is just sitting there living his life outside and most people just walk by don't even notice or care to notice but this guy cared. He genuinely cared about this poor guy. Nice to see he made the guys day . Got him some food and a blanket. Yes this was great. Some of those people have nothing or nobody and to them it's such a warm feeling they get when one person makes a difference in his life. It would be great if more people would take the time a few moments to do this for somebody in need
