Funded agencies helped me with housing briefly till I could find shared accommodation. My heart goes out to this family, and I hope and pray for help to come their way. I was once homeless for awhile so I can relate to that. Also when he said he was diagnosed with cancer I've lost numerous friends & family, some went to into remission and some are still fighting. I myself have had precancer & had to get a complete hysterectomy to get rid of it. I couldn't imagine being homeless and have cancer and bringing children into all of that. I know what it's like being homeless and sleeping in my car with my dog and loosing everything still have things in storages. Went through a failed marriage and lost my house and have children and a grand child. It's traumatic and devastated at the same time. My prayers are up for anyone else that's in this situation. My husband and I have "adopted" 4 families now, 4 single ladies and 7 children. We help with every birthday and holiday gifts. Sometimes it's also paying a power bill for someone in need. It truly blesses my soul to see the love and compassion of God for people in need. Just 5 months ago this was me and my 2 daughter's and grandson.We lost our apartment due to harmful mold exposure and were left homeless with no where to go in a rental market that was double the norm.Myself and both of my daughter's have an extensive medical history.We had no income and were living off of my daughter's college refund. We were living in hotels praying for God's provision. Forsaken and abandoned by others God made a way. We found a rental home and the way everything came together for us was nothing but a miracle.God's grace and favor is truly amazing. As someone who grew up in Poverty in the 80s, I never knew how much my parents struggled, they never let on. It wasn't until I was older that I understood. I also commend the helping before homeless, the system is broken for those who need it now, and to be able to help now is an excellent way to avoid that system.
