I wanted this to help but it doesn’t seem to address any of the concerns. Most of the people being moved appear to be in need of a mental health facility! New year new methods are needed.

Being homeless is very difficult. California is in a futile battle against homelessness, inflation, high rentals and a drug epidemic are just s few of the seeds not being taken care of.

Do you know what else is difficult? Going to work 8 to 12 hours a day, maybe more, 5 or 6 days a week. Staying away from drugs and alcohol and making good life decisions. There are cheaper places to live than southern California, and there are jobs all across the country. These people need rehab and / or mental health treatment. Allowing them to refuse help, trash public property, do whatever they want, verbally abuse the city, and county workers isn't helping anyone. A functioning society needs rules, and for some reason, homeless people are not required to follow them.

I feel bad for these ladies or anyone I can’t imagine living on the streets or even on the beach. Here in Hawaii it’s pretty bad for all. The bacteria in the water at times closes beaches. The residents have finally had enough. Some people need to be put into a hospital, until they are compliant with their meds. Leaving them out in the street to wander aimlessly is not humane. Another lady on the beach, squatted on the sand and peed right in front of the city workers. Did she even make an attempt to clean it up? No she didn’t and was mad she had to move.
