We need to start getting tougher on penalties beyond breaking down encampments. When there were shelter space if you don’t take it, you go to jail. Don’t collect $200.

I keep hearing various homeless people say there lifestyle is a choice. And also hear them say it’s there right to stay on the beach. Where did they come up with this idea. They get upset that they get moved but they camp in most populated areas!!!? Set up camp out of sight where they can scream there heads off and it won’t disturb peoples day out. They don’t want to go to shelter cause they have to be sober.

Maybe "cleanup" shouldn't be used as an excuse to move them. Sure, it is cleaned, but the primary reason should be that camping is illegal. And that EVERY instanxe of it should result in citation or atrest for repeat offenders.
