Homelite Super XL 925 Making a "NEW" piston Fit!!

Its pretty sad that I had to shave several thousands of material from the inside skirt area to clear the counter weight on the crankshaft. Didn't get a far as I wanted to but I'm getting closer. Thanks to Lean at Leon's Chainsaw Parts and Repair for shouting me out last week.

I'm glad the lathe work did the trick on that piston...hopefully LRB gets their supplier to correct the damned tooling! Nice repair on the generator coil; when they were cheaper and widely available, they'd just get replaced when the insulation went bad. Nowadays your repair is the only good option most of the time. Good call on the Loctite...I've seen quite a few damaged flywheels from those backplate bolts working loose!

This has been a little tough. Good job Ed. Clean and tin the tip of your soldering gun and it will help to heat up the wire better and flow the solder better.

Another great video Ed,always enjoy watching, ,,,word was to keep an eye out for an up coming video,glad to see the progress on the old homelite 925,,sure looks like it's going to be a runner soon,looking forward to your next video, maybe she will be a ripper for that big white pine.

I really wanted to have a Runner, but the electrical and fuel system took way longer than it should have. Thanks for watching and commenting
