Homelite Weedeater Carb Tuning

all tho the homelite string trimmers are cheap as dirt there is huge after market of parts for them i hate Ryobi but i love the homelite trimmers on how easy they are to work on and there really reliable they out preform many of the other cheaper mtd models at a higher price point only thing i hate about any of these mtd trimmer is there dang stinking twist off locking knob on there trimmer head if i was you go to lows and get one of those Shakespeare universal speed feed heads up at lows other then that i love homelite trimmers you did a great job getting it going shabear great video to you and your wife that a good video on put a sting trimmer head on that trimmer as well

I only use canned gas for my super small engines, chain saws, trimmer, blowers...it wont eat your lines up and its pre mixed, and high octane.

This is just what I needed...got a freebie..broken trigger, bad fuel lines..cleaned carb & muffler, put in trigger & lines and got it started, but won't run on idle..got my pac man screwdriver and will adjust! Thank you!! Do you ever adjust the phillips head by the throttle cable?

The Philips head is the ible adjustment. So yes ehen idle to low or won't idle at all, turn in till rpms come up.

What is the dark, liquid cleaner you use to clean parts?

It's carburetor cleaner, you can get it at advance auto, auto zone, etc. It works very well but is a little pricey. About 28 to 30 dollars. But it lasts a long time. Use it over and over.

It's bogging.needs adjustment with special tool.

Yes there is, It's on the fuel line in the tank.

Air filter, not fuel filter. They don’t even have an air filter. I won’t even take those from the curb for free because you can’t get enough money out of them to cover time and parts.
