Blade guards are essential not only to salvage the blade. If the blade breaks it will turn loose on either side of the wheel : if someone is watching one the side of the machine at the time there pretty good chances that the person will be hit by the broken blade possibly causing serious injuries.

I purchased your info, and working on gathering all items up for the build. I will be constructing a 42'' cut for Diagonal cut on cant's for table tops. finding 26 inch drive wheels has been difficult, without new purchase. I do appreciate your design. Thanks

i do like your 4 post design. one of the more sturdy & solid design i have seen on here. however. maybe its just me, but it looked like it was racking slightly. maybe extending the wheel base would fix that? all in all it looks professional.

Hi Ben. Do you have a paper book with the plans . As I don't have a newer computer for the 3D pictures. And if so could I purchase the book ? Thank You

One of the better designs I have explored Ben. I do not use ebay anymore, do you have an alternate way of obtaining your plans? Thanks for sharing your machine, I like it.

Beautiful machine. Is it still making lumber here in late 2020? Would love to hear it is.

I sold it to a person with a cabinet shop before I built my second version sawmill. He was cutting fancy hardwoods for upscale homes. He got a copy of my sawmill plans and built a second version sawmill. My first version sawmill was not as strong as the sawmill I sell plans for. As to what happened to my original sawmill, I am unaware of where it is.

Thanks for this video, I am glad you show it running with the gaurds off, it makes more sense of the working system, do you have sweeper brushes in front of the wheel rollers? I would think that even a small chip of bark could derail your carriage. The big blade wheels look like they are made for purpose, do you buy these second hand? An excellent video!
