Homemade cable pond dredging

Used some stuff laying around to make something that can clean out the pond. Used an old 24” backhoe bucket and some metal welded to it, rigged it to the old john deere 2020 and it actually worked! When the woods dry out we should be able to get it done. I guess today we just wanted to see if the setup actually would work.

Not sure what a drag line is. Just something i put together on the cheap to get mud out

For trolling, there's two separate lines on a drag for controlling height and one for reeling in

It’s not bad. The tractor holding the snatch block has a recovery hook and chain. After the video I drop the loader down and attach the hook to the back of the dredge, lift and all the stuff drops off
