I purchased pork fat from Albertsons. since I wasn't sure when I would use it I put it in my freezer. This turned out to be great because frozen pork fat was much easier to cut up frozen.
I cut the pork into small pieces and put the pork into a large pot to cook slowly.
It took about 1 hour for the pork to cook down without burning the meat and fat that was rendered.
I seasoned the pork with cumin, salt, and pepper. As an afterthought, I added garlic powder too.
They turned out crispy and delicious.
