Oo the fluffiness at the end!! I don’t know why, but I am addicted to max crisping for a couple minutes at the end of everything😂

Depends on the spud used & what is available. I have the fortune to use reject spuds destined for Mccains from a local farm & they turn out amazing 👌

Why is it important to get rid of the starch?
@BramhallDoes10 ай бұрын
Soaking potatoes in water before cooking them helps remove some of the starch on the surface, which can result in a crispier texture when they are cooked. hope this helps 👍 and thank you for commenting and watching 👍

I enjoyed the tossing, shaking and squeezing 🤣 These look really tasty. I don't tatties very often but I've made wedges in the air fryer and they were great. Cheers 😋😋👍👍

In the ads chips take 10 mins…. Wrong temperature?
@BramhallDoes Жыл бұрын
Raya sorry please could you ask me again I'm not sure exactly what the question is 👍
@rayamc607 Жыл бұрын
@@BramhallDoes sorry, 20 mins seemed a long time for chips as in the ninja ads is says 10 mins. I think that was just for frozen chips though, I just got a ninja and it takes 25 minutes to get decent non-frozen chips which is a bit disappointing but it’s better than the 40 my actifry takes. Thanks for the video
@BramhallDoes Жыл бұрын
@rayamc607 no problem yes from raw potatoes it worked out 22 mins in the Ninja but I suppose if you so slightly smaller chips it can be less, thank you for watching and for commenting 😊
@james69019 ай бұрын
should have added a squirt of oil around 15 mins
@BramhallDoes9 ай бұрын
It's definitely an option 👍

You didn't taste them, personally find them dry and tasteless compared to deep fat fryer. Also they don't cook evenly, even if you toss them a dozen times. And take ages. Am thinking of going back to a deep fatfryer . Would say only advantage of air fryer is they're cleaner
@BramhallDoes8 ай бұрын
I agree that they definitely do not replace a fantastic fried chip especially in lard but a good alternative, thank you for watching and commenting its much appreciated 👍

Soaking them for 45 minutes, is long when you can just parboil them for five minutes And you didn’t say which potato you were using I presume Maris Pipers
@BramhallDoes Жыл бұрын
It was Maris Piper, I think you can soak for at least 45 mins even longer is better so maybe leave them in the morning until you want them it's just about getting the starch out of them 👍
