Hi lovely's, I must say I'm absolutely loving this ninja. cooks so much quicker than my other one. At the end of the video, I inserted a picture of my energy usage meter, and I'm pleased to say it's very gentle on electricity X

Love your videos and as others have said, just straightforward delivery with no added unecessary "padding". Also, it gives me confidence when you apologise for your tiny "errors". Commenting whilst watching. Audio is fine whilst cooker is on. Impressed with the potato peeler, even though you say it's old. You also apologise for being a beginner, but I appreciate the amateur feel of the video. No need for slick editing, I like to see these products used in a way the normal consumer would.

Hello Lin, I have an idea for you. I’ve not tried it myself. You can buy gloves for barbecue. They are heat resistant and fire resistant. Maybe it might be better to use them when pulling out chickens out of the pot. It will be a lot easier for you. I will try it myself one day. I also have the problem of picking things out David.

I guess a couple of comments, I think once you get some more experience with your Ninja you will find you really don't need to take things out and turn them very often. Or have most things covered when cooking. Also I'm sure it's a British expression but in 40 years my wife has never called me "her Lovely" so it's pretty nice being one of your Lovelies. Who says the English can't cook!

Hi Daniel 👋 Your comment gave me a smile. Thank you for that. I'm nearly 6 months in now with my ninja, and you're definitely right. I think maybe just once halfway through is plenty to turn or shake. No comment on the English thing as I live and learnt to cook in Ireland x

We bought this after using the 400uk model. We liked the 400uk model apart from the dial selector that would turn inadvertently to the wrong position. Unfortunately ninja have ruined the 451 by trying to improve things that weren't necessary. The cooling cycle and auto shutdown at the end of the cook is a pain and the temperature probe is far too complicated and doesn't work accurately enough. How the two draws work together to balance the load is ridiculous, making cooking times unpredictable. By all means buy the 400 or the 300 if you can get them but I'd avoid the 451.

Hi, what an inspirational video and such a lovely kind and uncomplicated video. We have just purchased our first Air Fryer, we are in our 70,s and very nervous of this digital new way of cooking. However our gas oven packed up, we cant find anyone to fix it, in desperation bought the airfryer. You have given me the courage to have a go, I have been been very anxious about switching it on so far Do you do any meat free recipes or fish recipes we could try as a complete meal? I have shared the video with my sister who is thinking about buying an Airfryer and suggested sh e watch your videos as you are so good at explaining things and your recipes seems easy enough for us beginners to have a go Thanks so muchand kind regards Joy Cole

Hi. Are you inclined to use goose fat on the potatoes? That's my personal preference. I also use a tip from Jamie Oliver to flatten them 1/2 way thru cooking which I really believe helps Crispen them ( It can make a slight mess of them though!). Do you know what the litres capacity is of your air fryer? I want to buy one but I'm very confused as ideally I want one big enough for a full chicken roast for one with honey roast parsnips & pigs in blankets plus of course chicken & potatoes. I'd probably do as normal with peas, mini or chanteney carrots & sprouts & use cooker ring. Part of my confusion is I want a multi function model & one that's energy saving, though I suppose they're all basically meant to be. I wonder if having one big enough for a full roast sacrifices some energy saving? If you've the space & money perhaps you need 2 - one for roasts & one for everyday economy use!?
@LindzandLife
@LindzandLife Жыл бұрын
Hi David 👋 My ninja is 9.5l in total, I have a cosori also that has a single draw only 4.7l but I love it and it's handy for 2 people and uses less electricity good everyday airfryer. It's a mind field now with so many units on the market. I will say my ninja uses more electricity using only 1 draw than my cosori. So I think checking the wattage might be an idea. For example my cosori is 1700w and ninja is 2400w aprox. Great tips on the roasts and I haven't used goose fat in years as it's a tad out of the weekly budget. Hope I've helped have a great day x

Hi, im so confused between Af400 and af451?
@LindzandLife
@LindzandLife 6 ай бұрын
@shaziahasnain7868 Hi Shazia 👋 The Af451 has a so-called smart probe, which is meant to take the guesswork out of cooking meat. Mine has it, but it doesn't work properly on mine . The AF400 is the same size with a dial in the middle and no smart probe. I hope this helps x

Very good video and easy to follow. Just my kind of cooking, basic and simple. You are very easy to watch. My missus tells me off for refering to any females that I interact with as Love. Guess it is a scouse habit. Great tip to steam in the microwave too, instead of my usual in a short boil for 5 minutes

Hi Ronald 👋 At least you know where your sayings come from 🤣 Everyone in my life are lovelys. I used to par boil also, but with the price of energy, the microwave works out cheaper x

Hello Lindz, thank you for your answer. I watched the video, but I thought you would show it. No matter, I decided to buy the Foody Max pro grill, you simply lift the lid. For me, easier and more visible than the “hidden” heating elements. But the decision was also made because of the heated grill plate 😉 have a great New Years Eve 🎊

Hi Nina, you're welcome, lovely. I would have shown it, but to be honest, I don't let mine get bad, so there's not much to show. I think you made a great choice. I bought the ninja speedi as I like the lift up lid, although I haven't used it yet and am still debating with myself if it was the right choice 😅 x

Hi there. Have you used the machines built in probe, if so is it any good? Thanks
@LindzandLife
@LindzandLife Жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, Yes, I have, and unfortunately, I don't rate it at all so far. My advice is a separate temperature probe. I'll be honest I didn't get it for the probe I just didn't like the dial on the one without and heard it can be a pain. Hope that helps 😊

@@LindzandLife Thank you so much. I didn’t really want probe either, but this one is less expensive than the 400 model currently which is the same size. Thanks again.

But how do you clean the inside of the device via the food? There are certainly splashes of grease, steam, etc. A lot of it collects like a filter over the stove in an extractor hood. Do you have to clean it too?? Nothing is said about it here on KZbin

The only real difference I've found is better bake and dehydrate the fan is a lot slower. Roast and air fryer seem to be the same, just a different heat preset x
