Homemade Compost Tumbler

Here's a compost tumbler a friend and I put together one afternoon from recovered materials. I gave it to my landlord in return for them allowing me to plant my garden on the property. The steel barrel used to hold some kind of sugar, so it's safe to use without cleaning with chemicals.
Also featured in the viedo are the sounds of my dog panting.

i've got a barrel composter already made. you can have it if you want. it's on a steel center rod mounted up on a frame. also, it sucks, because you fill it up in about 20 minutes of yard work and it takes a year or more to get dirt out of it.

should mount some blocks or like cup things on the inside to help mix an turn the compost.

I gave this compost tumbler away a couple of years ago, but it was still working when I saw it in 2015. If I were to make another, I would make the door larger, and I would use a plastic barrel. I only had a steel barrel, so that's what I used on this one.

With what and how did you cut the rectangular opening on the drum bin?

I marked the rectangle to cut first, then I cut it out with an angle grinder with a cutting wheel on it.
