I'll just take it apart and build a new frame, with 25/20 round legs. No point buying a hundred plus one as I don't match fish. Use a feeder chair...

I have really enjoyed this series Den thankyou. The biggest PIA I have found is the threaded nut inserts..I'd love to know how the manufacturers do it without drilling the extra hole to get access with the DIY rivnut tool into the box section. Then I had a thought....could you use Hollow hex bolts which have an external and internal thread instead? Lock them on the outside with a small slim self locking nut? I need to build some sidetrays for my 19mm leg box (A Plattforms box..they;re great and light but they don't make them anymore)..previously I have adapted Preston Innovations stuff as I do like to tinker. Once again thankyou..was this your lockdown project I wonder? Best wishes

Hi Jonny. Thanks for your comments. May I also apologise for the delay in responding. Unfortunately, my Laptop decided not to play for a couple of days. With regard to your query, the threaded fasteners I use have the internal and external threads you mentioned, but I had them made up specially. I have however found that Matchbox Fishing tackle sell the brass part separately. Here is the Link: www.matchboxtackle.com/product/replacement-brass-insert/ The outer locking nut I use is from RS Online. Here's the link for that too: uk.rs-online.com/web/p/products/1224405/ I haven't bought the Matchbox item, so, please just check that the two items are compatible before you buy them.
