I grew up eating it just like that. I'm old 75, But, you can put Jalapenos, onions, corn, bacon, (OMG), crackling, or what's your pleasure, in with it. Thanks for this. Regular milk works BTW.

Looks really good, just made these a few weeks ago, but I add things to mine now & then.....I added some tiny chopped up onion in mine you may want to try it.....make sure you cut them real thin so they get done when the bread does......sometimes I will add a little bit of heat to them.....just whatever you want.....some even add corn......don't really care for that but you might .....I use way less oil than you do....

I am AMAZED that you broke the egg in a separate little bowl👍🏼‼️😘. It has always bothered me to see cooks crack an egg/eggs right into the ingredients😳 What if by chance an egg is BAD? Cracking it into all the other ingredients ( Bad egg) ruined the ingredients, throw it all away, AND START OVER‼️‼️Great job . I am going to make fried cornbread soon as I get BRAUM’S buttermilk.Your video would be “ perfect “ if your husband would quit interrupting you. It’s very obvious that “You GOT THIS” 🌹‼️
