Yes, you know how to properly scrape a bowl. So many 'cooks' use a whisk or wooden spoon and waste a lot of yumminess. Thank you for showing the correct way. Love your channel, so happy I found you! Have a Blessed Day!!

Renea, My Father loved German Chocolate Cake with the Coconut Frosting, his very favorite. He always loved when Mom made it for him. He has passed. My Mom is still living. She is in late 70's. I'll have to make this recipe for Mom. Since she always made this type of cake for us all. Brought many memories back to my mind watching you make the cake. God Bless You. What a Blessing. Love Tamson 😇💖

I have never seen a frosting made like that with egg yolks. I have made boiled frosting, which really is a science and when you haven't had someone actually show you, I ended up with several disasters before getting it right. SO thank you for sharing this one. Enjoy the day! Catherine

Do you remember broiled frosting? My mother would put it on a white or yellow cake. Got browned under the broiler.

It doesn't have coconut in it but it does have nuts. I'm sure it's in my ancient cook books. My favorites are those old church cookbooks.

That Chocolate cake looked awesome but................... You know, Renea, the walnuts sounds good. I just wish that there were a substitute for coconut.

YUM! Looks so good! By the way, I made ALL of your gravy mixes today and they are now gracing my pantry shelves! I added a Poultry seasoning too because I didn't have any of my own. So I Googles it and made my own! Blessings from Louisiana, MO!

Whenever I make a cake no matter what I take just a smidge off of the corner to taste to make sure it turned out right and then I feel the corner in with extra frosting 🤫😂

You can't go wrong with German Choc cake and Coconut pecan icing. I generally use walnuts as well. I prefer them to pecans. I put almost the entire bag of coconut in my frosting if not the whole thing. Those I bake it for like it that way. I also make a walnut pie which I think is better than pecan. Thank you, Brenda.

Renae...I am so very sorry but I think there was a big miscommunication on the cookbooks. I hope you aren't too angry with me BUT I am dumb as a stump when it comes to technology and I didn't follow through as I should have. I got hurt when Honey and I were shopping at the end of January and life went south from there. I am the recipient of 3 back surgeries and life has been a struggle for some time and even more so now. I still would like a set but am not quite sure if you secured them for me or we are still at square one. I THINK. I am finally going to try to go into town next week and if you will give me prices or give me direction as to how to order my daughter will help me. I am so very sorry for the lack of responsibility on my part and do hope you will find it in your heart to forgive my failure to follow through on our last conversation on this subject. If not, I fully understand but do know it was not intentional. Looking forward to the chickens coming home to roost and watching as you work through the process of constructing the hen house. Happy Homesteading!!!:):):)

Oh my heavens I would never ever ever be upset with you. Did you already order a set and they got lost or are you wanting to order a set now? I will make it real easy for you if you want to order a set. I will tell you the cost and you can send it to me and I will order a set and have it delivered to your address. That would make life easy for you. Does that sound good?
