I have watched Jamie Oliver from his very beginning cook show. He is - in my opinion- one of the the best chef's ever because his food is foremost always delicious. I'm making these cakes today and I know they will be excellent.

But sadly not when he makes any Asian dish, he butchers the recipe and definitely makes it the wrong dish in the end that honestly doesn’t even count as an Asian dish anymore with so many “twists”

W e have watched both series of Jamie’s recipes since lock down and must give massive credit for the amount of new things we have learned, to use many things which previously we have binned and although we follow the SlimmingWorld diet have adapted many of his recipes to our enjoyment many thanks.

I love how Jamie really uses his own products. The frying pan was a Tefal, branded as a Jamie Oliver - Hard Anodised. I have tried for years to get a really non-stick set of pans, tried everything from stone, ceramic and a whole range of high tech, exotic materials, all of them s-h-one-t, I wholeheartedly recommend these Jamie Oliver range of Tefal pans, they are superb. - I don't know Jamie, I don't work for him or Tefal, so I have no reason to endorse these, other than being so impressed with them, well done Jamie lad!

I discovered a Thai/lemongrass paste in my local deli. Since then, I've never made fishcakes without it. Would look similar to use, coriander or parsley (not chives) and I don't use smoked fish.

Jamie I just love your cooking Your tips tricks and skills. The only thing that’s annoying is all the “organic and free range” reference. Plse include all options for those who don’t have the budget for the very pricey organic and free range options. In my many years of using the budget less favourable options I am still here very healthy.
@johntate50509 ай бұрын
The option is not to use organic or free range. Surely you can work that out.

Jamie, I love your recipes & cook them often, but I think you need to consider toning down the "organic, free range" etc etc speak. As wonderful as that produce is, I do believe you are, unknowingly, excluding those who cannot access or afford said items. Is kind of like James Martin constantly banging on about buying from "your butcher" or "fish monger". People who might very well wish to cook the meals might be or are put off because of their inability to procure the "correct" produce. Anyway, I shall definitely try these fish cakes & I appreciate all you do & have done for opening up cooking to the masses. Cheers from the North West. Ps. If ever coming to Wirral drop me a line & we'll cook a slow roast leg of lamb. I know someone with a banging recipe 👍
