Great timing! My daughter and I have wanted to learn to make soap for a long time. This year I was going to get her a soap making kit for Christmas, but I'd much rather get her the specific items she'll need, so was thrilled to see your video. I made vanilla extract in September of 2023 and bought the small amber bottles and will be sticking them in gift baskets along with homemade caramel corn and other treats. I love that you're going to show a variety of gift-giving ideas!

I’ve found it difficult to ignite enthusiasm into Christmas once our children are no longer small. I have a friend that started making homemade gifts for all in her family and insisted that all the gifts be homemade. The family drew names so only one gift had to be made. Everyone really went out hard - brainstorming what they could do realistically and got to work. Absolutely amazing to hear what everyone put their hearts and souls into making for whoever they drew out of the hat. Quilts, hemp baskets, aprons, a homemade light box for the quilter, a quilt rack, cookies and squares, wood hanging baskets, sewn lunch bag (one of the littles with help from grandma) and so on. The stories she tells me every year that everyone comes up with is amazing. Everyone sneaks around for weeks just like I remember Christmas was when I was a kid. Really makes it exciting knowing everyone really took time and effort with specific people in mind. Not like dropping a bundle for a gift card that’s for sure. Lots of love and effort which is as it should be.

Love the new look in the cabinets! My granddaughter is 31 and she must be an old soul. She and her husband own a condo and have been there about 7 years. They recently bought a free standing home and she has furnished it with things she has mostly found on facebook. Very 60-70s. When she purchased living room lamps, I told her they reminded me of The Brady bunch home and she laughed and said that's the era she is going for:)

Love love the paper inside the cabinet. Did you line your drawers with it as well? Your chicken on the deck was very amusing. At one point I thought it was going to knock on the door to come in! I recently had Covid (my 4th time) and although I did not have a fever I was extremely fatigued for about 2 weeks. Take care of yourself and I am sure you are getting in lots of naps! Congratulations on hitting 200K subscribers. Well earned for sure. This past weekend I picked up honey from a local beekeeper and made the honey-lemon drops. I added grated fresh ginger to the mix. The drops are delicious and soothing! I also made a batch of the fire cider, as well as garlic honey. Can't wait for both of those to be ready in a few weeks.
