Awesome! I really appreciate it 💯 there is no place like SP especially when the bite is on 🔥. Just a little advice for you if you are going to drone fish at the South point cliffs. Be careful of the boats that pass through there, sometimes they come out of nowhere depending where you're at. Be safe, make sure you have a good vantage point. Steer clear of the bagliners on the cliff, make sure they are to the left of you and none on your right side , be careful not to cross their lines and monitor the current conditions because they rip pretty hard there. There are also kites in the area so be on the lookout for those too There are zodiacs that run through there throughout the day and night as well, we've hooked them a few times in the past to the point where we rarely drone fish down there now due to safety reasons. Good luck out there 🎣💤💤💤

@@YessahFishing Thank you for the advise. I don't have a drone. Too poor for that. I plan to use a large bobber or balloon to float a bait out. Also going to be whipping, dunking and sliding. I will take your advise and not get into other people's lines. The last guy I ever want to be is, "That Guy". So if I do use a bobber or balloon should I follow the same advise and stay to the right of the bagliners?

@@YessahFishing yeah man for sure! One quick question, I’m getting into drone fishing. Yet to make my first drop. I bought a dji phantom 2 and crashed it destroying my gimble and go pro. Thankfully those two things saved the drone. I’m a decent pilot but the person I bought it from didn’t tell me the batteries was bad hence why the drone crashed. Now I’m left with 1 out of 4 batteries that is good and obviously a broken gimble and go pro. My question is can I use a dji 2 to drone fish? I wanted a 3 or 4 but on a budget the dji 2 came in clutch with price. (300$) learning from my mistakes as I’m new to drones. Scared as shit to make a flight out to ocean. What do you use and do you have a video on mainly the set up for drone fishing? I haven’t seen one. I’m also on the bigisland and hope to get down like you guys!! Mahaloz

In my earlier videos when we first started drone fishing I was using a phantom 2 which I scored pretty cheap. You may have to browse through my earlier videos to get an idea of how I set it up. The Drone did not come with a camera or gimbal and I was just flying it by sight only and it served me well until I crashed it due to a bad battery. Since the phantom 2 came out many years ago the batteries are so old that it can be prone to voltage issues and won't retain a good charge. Therefore you're much better off getting them brand new on eBay or Amazon. The phantom 2 is a good starter drone if you want to do some drops. I have lost a total of 3 phantom 2's. Took a while for me to get over the loss of the first one but I had to stay committed for the channel haha. Another issue with the phantom 2 is the firmware, there is no update for it and you could experience more issues, but a good drone to practice with if you decide to get into drone fishing. Ever since I got my phantom 4 it has been so reliable it's my go-to, I think I've had my phantom 4 longer than all three of my phantom twos, that's how reliable it is. I chose not to do a tutorial video about drone fishing because it's still a rather new method especially on Big Island and wanted to gain in depth experience, study up more on the FAA rules and regulations. As drone fishermen it's our responsibility to take all safety precautions. There are so many factors like wind weather and many other situations which makes drone fishing hard to do, it's hard to explain it but only through experience you will know.

Yeah man, good luck on your journey with Drone fishing 💯 now is the time to get all the content you can. That way when you're ready start the channel you already got material. When we first started out we already captured at least 6 months worth of content before we started our channel, that's why we were uploading one to two episodes every week in the beginning which helped boost our subs and the KZbin algorithm was good to us. Maybe one day collaboration on the cliffs 🎣💤💤💤

We bought it from our local fishing tackle store here on Big Island. It's a doubled hooked slide gaff. If you go online to hifishgear.com a solid fishing tackle shop on the island of Oahu, they may have it in their listing and ready to ship.

I would save up for a DJI phantom 4. Although it's not a fishing drone it does get the job done, it's pretty reliable and really strong.

@@HIdefend808 that small DJI mavic air drone with the gannet bait release clip, unfortunately that thing took a dive in the water. That drone helped me land my ono from land. The bait release clip on the other hand was great but it couldn't beat my $2 food clip that I have on my phantom 4. With a gannet bait release clip, which you had to manually set the tension, was having issues against the wind where I usually fish so I had a lot of premature drops. I like the DJI phantom line because they have legs on them therefore when you connect your lure it's further away from the propellers unlike the mavic line which is super close and that's how I ended up losing an $800 mavic air.
