I can see it being useful for linear tracking of something that would benefit from having little to almost zero deviation, but that can be achieved via simpler methods. Whatever its function, methinks the effective working length is going to be short; the "A" frame, angle iron track will have to be attached to a support structure of some variety and the trolley in present form wouldn't be able to pass any mounting points. At least not as far as I can see. but I'm only on my 1st cup of coffee. But yes, it's pretty.

Imo it would be better to use a profiled bearing in the center to prevent you from having to modify the track. If you got alot of track it gets costly. Also angle is not great at supporting loads it would be better as boxed tubing. This is what the CNC guys use

У квадратных труб стенки тонкие.

@@masterace6416 у профтрубы такого же размера, как и этот уголок, жёсткость будет никак не меньше, чем в уголка. Зато жёсткость на пропеллер будет поболее. Да и возни поменьше

This system can be used if u increase the system by using RSJ's, bigger bolts and bearings. Can be used for earthquake areas for buildings. Only addition would be a dampener either rubber or hydrolic.

@@eweunkettles8207 you would only put these at load bearing positions. So one would make another at 90 degrees angle that would give all direction movement. Incorporate a damping mechanism. This would then allow the floor to move but it would keep the building from swaying

@@ЗакирГалиуллин-к6к беда конструкции в том что свобода перемещения тележки будет ограничена от опоры до опоры - рельс должен на чем-то висеть. Тележка имеет конструкцию в виде замкнутого кольца, поэтому не пройдет в месте подвеса рельсы.

@@1aleksiv Я делал первые станки с чпу на таких направляющих .Во время работы шпинделя стружка летит во все стороны и если мелкая просто налипает то крупные клинят и сбивается работа программы ..Уклон не поможет .Только шкребки с войлоком или резиной .

@@11megadevais77 да,это так,но для ворот сойдёт. В токарных и шлифовальных станках,направляющие сделаны на призмах. Но в них стоят чистики,да и подгонка настолько плотная,что мусор не подлазит. В шлифстанках всё закрыто.

You did overthink a bit. On the sides dont need guide bearings,just let slide the metal on metal.For the middle part(base) if you grinding down the peak and with 1200 sandpaper polishing the 2 material then with teflon spray or gearse will slide the metal on metal perfectly. In this way just need one guide bearing (the lowest).

У движка отфрезеровать внутренний угол ( болгаркой) и систему смазать смазкой . Пользуюсь для заточки ножей для станка. А так , классно, как бронепоезд.
