Homemade pizza with fluffy crust and edges filled with cheese. Easy and quick recipe
Ingredients and recipe
For the top:
Flour - 400 g (two cups)
Dry yeast - 7 g
Milk - 100 ml
Water - 170 ml
Sugar - 2 teaspoons
Olive oil - 30 ml (3 tablespoons)
Salt - ½ teaspoon
Mozzarella sticks - 150 g
Grated Mozzarella cheese - 150 g
Grated Cedar cheese - 50 g - optional
Salami - 8 slices - optional
For the sauce:
Tomato sauce - 150 g
Ketchup - 50 g
Salt - ¼ teaspoon
Dried oregano - ½ tsp
Put dry yeast, 2 tablespoons of flour, sugar in a small bowl and mix. Add 100 ml of warm milk (or warm water), mix well and leave the bowl aside for 5 minutes.
Put ½ teaspoon of salt on top of the rest of the flour. Mix and add the yeast mixture.
Add lukewarm water (170 ml) and 30 ml of olive oil.
We mix the dough well until all the flour is incorporated.
Put a pinch of flour on the work surface and knead the dough for about 3-4 minutes.
Press the dough with your palms, then fold the dough and form a ball.
Place the ball of dough in an oiled bowl.
Grease the dough with oil, cover the bowl and put it in a warm place for an hour.
We prepare the sauce. Put tomato sauce, ketchup, salt, sugar, oregano in a bowl. We mix.
After an hour, remove the dough to the work surface sprinkled with flour. We divide the dough into two pieces. We form two balls from the dough that we cover with food foil and let them rise for 20 minutes.
Set aside half of the dough. We cover with food foil, put it in the fridge and we can use it the next day.
We flatten the remaining dough and form a sheet of approximately 30 cm in diameter.
We transfer the dough to the baking pan greased with a little oil.
We place the Mozzarella cheese sticks in a circle about 2 cm from the edge of the tray. We stretch the edge of the dough sheet towards the center and wrap the cheese sticks.
With a fork, lightly prick the dough from place to place. Spread the dough with 2 tablespoons of sauce. Sprinkle the grated cheese mixture. Optionally add slices of salami or ham. Grease the edges of the pizza with oil.
Put the tray in the oven preheated to 200˚C for about 15 minutes.
The pizza is ready!
