Just an FYI, gum syrup is spelled gomme syrup. I went to try to find a recipe and couldn’t find one on google. I feel like I’m the only one that uses your app.

Android or iPhone? Because if it’s Android you might be. Yeah you’re right it can go either way. In the early 19th and 20th century US books would list it as gum but then have a recipe for sirop de gomme and it will just say made the same as gum syrup. I think I noticed gomme pop up more in the US books around the 1940s. Some of the early 20th century British books will have both spellings. It might depend on where the recipe came from? I don’t know. I haven’t looked into that too much. I just went with gum since most of my users are American and I see it more often in the super old books. But you’re right gomme is another way to spell it, I think it’s kind of like one of those Curaçao, orange liqueur, or triple sec things.

@@VintageAmericanCocktailsI have an iPhone. BTW, I am not able to have the recipes in milliliters on the app. I like to use milliliters for some recipes over ounces (yes, I’m American). Are you American?
