simple and straight forward. Cheers!

It's simple, but all it really needed was a 19 inch long single wire extension on the antenna line and it is done. Just receiving so swr is not a big issue. Good video though.

Wonderful Video, But If You Have Electric Wire And A Radio That Doenms`t HavE Any receptiuon All You need To Do Its Just Put The Wire Onto Your Curtains Or Any Spot Where You Can hang It On And Then Rap Around The Radio The Wires , Like, 8 Times Around And It Will Receive Much Better In HF !

Hello and thanks; Is this method also efficient for short wave?
@DanaKotze7 ай бұрын
No not really. Maybe you will find something on KZbin regarding shortwave antennae

What if use any aluminium or copper in place of (Brize/bronze?)? and how can we measure AM or FM using MHZ or KHZ? Boss!

What if use any ground in place of Capacitor negative?

Great work, but really I need your response due to use as personally.

Use any metal. No difference. Please check on you tube for calculations. I am not so bright on maths😀

Greater idea! In addition to this what if we use any ground in place of -ve of Capacitor?

That's good, I need to extend the antenna of my radio in the cellar as well for better reception

So is this superior to just buying a good Philips/RCA rabbit ears antenna like the RCA ANT115 for $20 ?
@DanaKotze4 ай бұрын
@@tomsettles6873 yes absolutely. I will make a video on a later stage using a Bulion which compensate for the impediense match. You can google antennea impedience matching transformer.

Nice, that all makes much more sense now. Shame that when I was younger and had electrotechnics classes at school, I wasn't paying attention...

Great vid, but how did you work oput what length of rod to use, is that for a specific frequency ?. cheers
@DanaKotze2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is relate to the frekwency. For fm it is 75 cm per rod. One quarter wavelength. Cheers
@MorAcht7 ай бұрын
Does it make any difference to the length where the rod is bent into the wood. I would think this part in the wood would not receive any signal from the air. I have seen some other videos where this length is 31 1/2 inches. Also should the rods have a low resistance for my 75 ohms coax connection at my radio?
@mikebond63287 ай бұрын
Can this antenna be used also to transmit?
@DanaKotze7 ай бұрын
I am not such a radio boffin but I guess so if it is on the same frekwency

Hi the black wire is connected to the negative of the supply line. Battery or cap at rectified output of transformer.

Can you explain why 75cm?
@DanaKotze Жыл бұрын
Hi. It is something to do with the waveleghht of the FM radio signal. This is a quarter length. Cheers

@@DanaKotze I am trying to get reception on a car radio I’m using in my garage. I feel like I’ve got everything going right but I still can’t get good reception. Although they sound pretty straightforward, antennas are hella frustrating to get some good reception.

make sure it has 300 to 75 ohm balun otherwise it won't work
@eswnl15 ай бұрын
Well a dipole is balanced and coax isn't - so some kind of balun is needed. Few turns of coax round some ferrite?
