I made these and they came out great. I nearly gave up when my shells looked too flat but the filling was easy to work with and they came together in the end perfectly. They take ages but are worth it, i recommend these as 1. The filling does not ooze all over the place and 2. The chocolate and coconut coating helps hide and round out any slight defects. Shaving down the shells worked wonders, they dont break easy Thanks so much for sharing, these are my favourite, i now just have to resist eating them all for 4 days til xmas! 😅

@amrahm8620 I would say they tasted as close to the originals as you could get being home made. Differences being the shell, original is wafer and very light, this shell is more like biscuit so the thinner the better. They can go hard in the fridge so I kept mine out for a while before serving.

My mother loves these candies, very much. But because of their high price, she allows herself to have them once a year. I never thought that I could make these candies at home, next time I go to the store I will buy all the ingredients and make these candies for her.I want her to be able to enjoy these candies to her heart's content. Hey ! I'm coming back here to say I've finally made this recipe yesterday ! I spent a long time in my kitchen (especially for the shells, it was for me the longest step)... and I'm not disappointed at all by the result (my family either ! 😁). The Raffaello are just perfects, at least as goods as the originals (and biggers, which is pretty enjoyable 😁).
