Hey Friends! I've seen a lot of videos where people try the frozen ravioli from the Dollar Tree (to mixed reviews). It suddenly occurred to me, why not make homemade ravioli from the Dollar Tree?! I've made homemade pasta with Dollar Tree ingredients before after all. So I set out to the Dollar Tree to see what variety of cheeses and other ingredients I might be able to find for this Dollar Tree meal. In total I spent $9 (with plenty of leftover flour, eggs, and parmesan cheese to spare), making this a relatively affordable (albeit a little labor intensive) and fun way to have a ravioli dinner that absolutely blows the frozen, premade stuff out of the water! We got 5 servings out of this recipe, and that could have easily been stretched by adding a veggie side and some homemade garlic bread to the meal!

After watching this video yesterday I made homemade ravioli last night and my husband and daughter loved it!. I did not have sausage or anything but I used 3 hamburger patties and cooked them and crumbled them. Then used some cottage cheese and what was left of our shredded cheese. I did not have cream cheese. I did have spaghetti sauce and flavored it a bit with a sprinkle garlic powder. I boiled the ravioli then fried it in a pan with a little butter to crisp it up. It was so good! THANK YOU for this! My husband came home from work super surprised and shocked I made "homemade" ravioli.

Hi Lisa! Your ravioli look awesome. It's super creative especially from Dollar Tree! I think you could make pumpkin ravioli from DT. I think they sell canned pumpkin. You could add a little bit of sausage for flavor. Oh, and you could use some canned potatoes to make a firmer mixture. Pumpkin. potato and sausage ravioli...oh yeah! You have inspired me. 😀

You popped up in my videos and I gotta say I’m very pleasantly surprised. I think the thing that I admire about you is your fearlessness. I have always wanted to make pasta from scratch and I am a big chicken. I’m disabled now and I can’t cook like I used to, and it makes me very sad. You should be really proud of yourself. Never lose that fearless attitude. I think if we met we could be friends. PS: The Hunts sauce is GOOD! I used to have to feed my daughter and I from food from The Dollar store. You keep it real, and that’s awesome. ❤️🥰🤘

I love that Hunts sauce. I always bought it when my children were young and we were a one-income family bc it was 88 cents I think and sometimes on special for BOGO. I added meat occasionally but always doctored generously with celery salt and whatever struck my fancy. My children are grown now and that sauce is $1.25, and I could pay much more if I wanted to, but I see no need because we love it.

I have to say 1st that you are so adorable. And 2nd I major ravioli recipe and then I got this crazy idea because it reminded me of The delicious Polish food perogies. Anyway I tried air frying them but 1st I brushed them with a little of Olive oil. When they came out I brushed them with melted butter and Olive oil and sprinkled parmesan cheese on them while they were still moist with the butter. Absolutely wonderful recipe thank you so much

Lisa you can use cottage cheese in place of ricotta. You have to place the cheese in a cheese cloth or coffee filter lined sieve. The sieve allows the moisture to be released for overnight or a couple of hours. The expulsion of the moisture will also allow the cottage cheese to be creamed. Hope this makes sense. Enjoy.
