Fantastic dingy! Consider foam in the water tight bits to really ensure it will float, this could allow you to open them up for storage, water got into our so called sealed compartments. Now young man, please wear some long sleeves during welding to protect you from the cumulative effect of UV from welding, skin cancers are very common on exposed arms with welders etc… even in the young. I worked as a skin specialist for over 40 years and have seen hundreds caused this way. Side dagger boards? Wooden covers or a hot bum! Well done!

Thank you! We have decided to install some (not very watertight) doors in de forward bulkhead, so I've ordered airbags for extra flotation. Now we can store some backpacks, snacks and sails in the little foc'sle. As for the long sleeves, thanks for pointing it out. Sometimes its good to hear warnings from people with experience, eventhough I should have thought about it myself to begin with :)

Things are coming on nicely, it must be very special working with your dad on your dreams. Some of the KZbinrs generate interest is explaining things, techniques and rationale it generates a lot of interest, even gets people not into boat repairs really interested to enjoy the journey. I’m sure you don’t want to sell your soul but it usually gets manufactures of stuff happy to have their products exposed, many get discounts and even freebies, you both win. Good luck. Get you dad in front of the camera, with his expertise on show would really broaden the channels appeal, I’m sure

Always seem to get moisture inside socalled sealed compartments on boats, seen it numerous times. Amuses me the people that say they don't need drains from them, these guys seem to have thought through things very well

Had to laugh when you said your shed isn't too small, you just need to remove some stuff 😀. I believe it is one of life's truths that no shed or garage is ever big enough, because no matter how big it is, you will always find stuff to fill it up with. The dinghy is very nice and goes well with Tiger Shark.

_AWESOME_ ! Surprised to see you paint the alloy. Expected you to list one of the advantages as being the material is self anodizing so won't need the time/expense/weight or maintenance associated with coating aluminium. Fantastic design and build though, _real_ skills to pay the bills!

Thanks! We don't really like the look of untreated alu, and thought it would be fitting to have it the same colour as the mothership, but that's just a matter of taste. So it's worth the extra work in our opinion :)

@@tigersharkboatworks _YEAH_ looks fantastic. Agreed, I like the weathered alloy look but it can be drab. Did you know Mercedes have silver finishes because they didn't paint their original race cars to save weight way back in the past.
