Nicholas McDermott yep, definitely an air cannon or spud gun type weapon! Beer cans are a nifty idea, it should be a repeater though with a top fed magazine. I was thinking about using apples as projectiles because they are pretty firm and can go through a sizing ring to fit the barrel potentially less dangerous than full beer cans or soda cans to stop alcohol abuse (jk) but beer cans are much more uniform in size than apples.

🔴 What Is Islam? ⚠️ 🔴 Islam is not just another religion. 🔵 It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham. 🔴 Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God. 🔵 It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone. 🔴 It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine. 🌍 The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as: 📖 { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4)[4] 📚 🔴 Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus. 🔵 Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him.

I wonder if these type of vehicle could be improved with the application of rough, but thin jagged surface material applied just to the threads of each screw. The idea being to add greater traction. Perhaps the threads themselves could be molded with a rough surface already a part of the screw, or maybe something fully replaceable would be necessary because of inevitable wear and and tear.
@wmden13 жыл бұрын
Not to argue, but the height , or width, of the "threads", and the depth they dig into the dirt/mud, are what gives the traction. They have to be able to slide against the dirt or mud as they cut into it. Rough surfaces would only add to the friction of that sliding, and would add a lot of stress to the engine and drives. It would be like having rust on the threads of a bolt. You are absolutely right about the wear and tear, and replaceable "threads" though. All of that sliding, especially on dryer ground, will wear them out, pretty quickly, depending on their hardness.
@Skorpychan3 жыл бұрын
The principles of screw drive are pretty well worked out already. It's just of limited utility because it's slow as fuck, chews up the ground, and beats itself to death on hard surfaces. The Soviets used one for rescuing cosmonauts from swamps and deep snow, and they have utility in deep snow. They're just not used more because tracked vehicles disturb the ground less and can float on top of the surface rather than digging through it, if light enough.
@wmden13 жыл бұрын
@@Skorpychan I've seen footage of some large, high horsepower machines the Russians built. They were fairly fast. They were excellent in swampland, snow, and in water, since the screws were also pontoons. They would run them sideways on harder ground, which didn't tear the ground up so much, but as you said, it looked like a rough ride.

Right something inflatable that could just kinda sit under the engine/center area wouldn't add much weight but could add a good bit of bouyancy. Something rigid might add clearance issues while on land though
