homemade shortening/unipuff recipe|| easy recipe for beginners || cook book 📖

here i am sharing a very easy recipe of homemade unipuff or shortening from which u can make puff pastry, and it can also be used in baking as a substitute of butter..for this we need
1 kg ghee
a lot of ice cubes and chilled water
melt ghee and let it cool on room temperature..
now take ice and chilled water in another bowl ans when ghee is cold enough to touch with ur finger,pour it in..stir it with a spoon vigorously that it changes its colour to whitish and becomes solid.leave it for few hour until water comes to room temperature.
after fee hours,take out the solid ghee and squeeze out the extra water with ur hands.prre it with ur fingers and make sure there are no lumps in it..it should be smooth in texture..
spread it in a pan and press it to give a shape of block..freeze it for few hours..
now take it out and cover it in cling wrap or any plastic bag..store it in refrigerator and take out when needed..
