PVC was my first thought also and I may still make one, but this was just parts I had laying around in my shed.

Hello :) cool -thanks for sharing. I just cleared my snow and was thinkin about what creative ideas are out there. So i have a longish driveway but i go straight down the middle all the way first. Then as you take a few steps back, - i, instead turn around and do one side then the other. But it always depends on how much snow, density and temp. Im going to go build something similar, except im going to experiment with Pulling, and having the handle adjustable angle like a truck blade. And this only for when we get 1-3”. We just as often get 6”-18” - then the 30” Blower must come out ! Let me ask - do you Sortof Enjoy clearing the snow ? I most often Love doing it ! Peace

You still need to shovel the stuff on the side up over the top or you will eventually have a very narrow driveway! I use a rig similar to this and clean up the edge with one pass of the snowblower.

I fabricated a snow plow for less than $50, in lieu of a $1,500 to $7,000 overpriced snow plow. My person couples the aforementioned to a 2" receiver on my vehicle. Less than 3 minutes to connect, plow a 500' driveway with a very wide parking/garage area (in the comfort of a warm vehicle) and quick disconnect. Let it snow, let it snow. Handles a foot of wet/heavy snow with ease.

Good job. A snow plow would be alot quicker and less stressful.

This has been great for light snows. It only takes me ten min. to do my 175 foot driveway. I do plow all winter but my plow stays at work lol.

Hey, where can I find one of those things you put at the botom of the shovel to scrape the snow?

Why not increase the plow height to take on higher accumulations?
