Easy methods can be used for making soy milk at home. Not only is homemade soy milk fresher, it is also often healthier and tastier than those sold commercially. Always choose non-GMO and organic soy beans for the best health benefits.
Soy or soya milk is an important source of proteins for vegans, vegetarians and people who are lactose intolerant. Store-bought soya milk is convenient but may have preservatives and additives. We can easily make home-made soy milk that is much more thick, tasty and using the best, organic soybeans. Try this simple method for making soy milk at home with just 2 ingredients and no special equipment or soya milk maker needed!

can we drink soya milk without boiling...? I made soya milk according to this procedure & tasted. then I stored the remaining milk in the bottle without boiling it for next-day use. kept the bottle in the refrigerator. The next day I boil the soya milk that we stored yesterday. Unfortunately, the milk was clots. need some advice regarding these matters?

@ease6209 Not required to boil again once we have gone through the procedure of preparing the milk correctly. It should be good to consume for up to 4 days in the fridge. However, if you would like to have it warm for drinking, just warm up lightly on low heat.

I freeze any leftovers and add some to my dogs' meals once or twice a week.

Hi Stuti. These are called pandan leaves. They are mainly used to add fragrance to the soya milk. They are widely available in some countries. I am not sure if they are available where you live. You may also add a little vanilla essence to the soya milk to remove the beany smell and add some flavour. Hope this helps.

Hi soy milk can be added to cocoa powder to make a chocolate drink. Use hot soy milk to get a better taste. Of course, the taste is according to individual preferences.

Pls someone help mind has a sour taste and separate into two sections when allowed to cool , what should possibly cause it ?

Hi @claratricia9628. If it is sour and separates, it is likely that the soya beans have fermented. You may have soaked the soya beans for too long.

Oh! I soaked it overnight, it is possible. Is there anything I can do to remove the sour taste?

@@claratricia9628 There's really no way to remove the sour taste as far as I know. Adding some sugar may help. But I would discard any soya milk that has fermented. Apart from taste, it may also be unsafe to consume.

Hi. Thanks for stopping by and watching my video. The leaves are called pandan leaves. They are usually added to desserts and drinks for their fragrance. It is quite like adding cardamom powder for fragrance.

@@ninasharma6809 No worries. Pandan leaves may not be available in other countries and may not be familiar. We use it a lot here in Malaysia.
