I'm sure this is a blessing to him especially with so many places being shut down with Covid! And of course a lot of love from home and savings not spending the money for every meal on the road.

I work 3 12hr shifts midnights a week as a RN, throughout the week when I’m home I take leftovers and put them in these same trays for my husband to eat while I’m gone because there’s no cooking during those days I’m working lol! Never thought about using the frozen corn tho! Game changer! ❤️

Hello from our farm in New Hampshire! Its a ☔ rainy July 2, 2023. I am new to your channel. Searching for homemade TV dinners for two families at church who are in medical recovery mode. I think I will make two meat loves. Some for us to enjoy on a " no cook" day as well. Thanks for taking us along. I look forward to following your channel.~ Diane

I do freezer meals for my trucker! I actually use food saver bags and send him with the meat, veg an side in separate bags so he can pick what he feels like for dinner! He loves to heat his food in his Hot Logic Mini! Does your husband have one of those?

Great idea, this is perfect for at home too cook once and save the leftovers in the freezer. I want to encourage everyone to get a whole house or permanent generator that is hooked up to a gas line or better yet a propane tank that way if the grid goes down within 3-5 seconds the generator turns on and your freezer is safe and everything in your house still works too, look up electricians that sell generators because they will know how to hook it up properly. My husband looked up prices and they were $3000-$5000 well worth the price we want to be prepared, just look at Texas.

I use a mixture of beef and pork and mix in a pkg of Uncle Bens cooked wild rice and the seasonings and this also makes a very good meatloaf. No BBQ sauce nor ketchup, but the usual eggs, milk and bread.

This is the second time I've watched this video because I like it that much. I can tell you love doing this for your husband!! ❤ I am looking more towards freezer meals and TV dinners for weight loss and portion control. I am sick and tired of eating fast-food crap and spending money on take out. NO MORE!! It's time to start cooking for myself, eating healthy, and purchasing a freezer. Thank you for sharing this. New subscriber here! I have to ask, what foods would you say freeze the best for when I'm making my individual tv dinners? I have made vegetable soup and chili, which seems to freeze well.
@ScottALanter3 жыл бұрын
Making meals ahead of time is an excellent idea. I'm sure your husband really appreciates it, too. I tried using the boxed stuffing one time a few years ago because I like boxed stuffing. But, I didn't care for the taste of it in my meatloaf. So, I went back to using my usual saltine crackers.

My husband is also a long haul truck driver. When I cook I tend to package up leftovers to make a couple meals for him and stick them in the freezer. He still loves to buy those stupid TV dinners from the store though. I can have a bunch of nice meals ready for him but he'd rather have the store bought garbage most of the time. UGH!!! Drives me crazy because I am always telling him to take some of the freezer meals. I will continue to make him meals though. I am down to 2 meals left in the freezer so it is time to cook some more larger meals for me and freeze some for him!

America pan co...have a 2lb meatloaf pan that has an insert, meat sit's above the bottom, easy to remove, meat doesn't cook in fat, it removes the fat from the meat. When I viewed the video farther I could see the meat you were using was very lean! But if you want more flavor try this pan with an 80-20 combo...( lean and a little medium hamburger).

I’m going to make this for my family. Quick question, if the corn is frozen is it already cooked? Or when it’s microwaved does it cook it? Should I add water before microwaving it? I’m confused by the corn. Lol.
@debraigo27112 жыл бұрын
I throw a little pat of butter on top . The frozen corn is blanched, so partly cooked, it will finish in the microwave, and the little bit of butter is plenty of liquid. Just remember , corn will explode, so keep it covered!
