HOMEMADE ULTIMATE SNEAKER CLEANER - JASON MARKK/CREP/RESHOEVEN8R KILLER

shoutout to Rachel for letting me dirty and clean her shoes
Thanks for watching, I sincerely hope you enjoyed the video! Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below!
To make it:
Use a 1:1 ratio of soap:water and just pour into a container.
This should help you guys to not waste money on "ultimate" or "premium" cleaning products that do the exact same thing as Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap.

Could you run the test on an intense color suede shoe please? It's a far better test because you're testing color and texture retention.
@darklengend44
@darklengend44 2 жыл бұрын
I know this is 3 years old but usually suede will begin to bleed because of the water not the soap so you have to be very careful not to get the suede too wet. Afterwards you can usually use a suede brush to get its texture back to normal after it’s dried. If the color got really messed up you can color it back by using Angelus leather paint mixed with some 2-soft (which is also sold by angelus) to re color the suede.

Did anyone notice any residue on their white sneakers using this method? I just asked chatgpt and it said cleaning with laundry detergent would be more advisable. 1:1 is pretty concentrated for castile soap. Also a laundry detergent contains enzymes and a bunch of other fancy chemicals. Any negative experiences here?
@miaomiaochan
@miaomiaochan 10 ай бұрын
I've heard that a 1:3 ratio is best for castile soap and that applying foaming soap is preferable to applying liquid soap, especially when it comes to suede.

@@miaomiaochan Oh yeah castile soap did leave yellow residue on my white sneakers that may be permanent. Good old laundry detergent delivered best results. Also water quality matters; the cleaner the better.

@dogmosatchmo
@dogmosatchmo 5 жыл бұрын
There is no "type". Only brand. It's all essentially the same. You really can't go wrong. It will be varying consistencies, from vaseline consistency, to more of a honey, but once it's at temperature it's the same product at the end of the day. The color differences you see, are varying amounts of air, from whipping the oil into more of a cream, and from different collection techniques. Organic is pointless if you aren't eating it. Keep that in mind, and save yourself the pretentious price.

Some constructive feedback: Your video is way too long for what you're trying to convey. You need to jump straight to the point if you want to retain the attention of viewers. You don't need to go into a whole story about this, and then withhold information for "later in the video". If your're not going to show the solution at the start of the video, then at least provide proof that this "ultimate sneaker cleaner" works For the first 2 and a half minutes, what you said didn't matter because you already lost the attention of 80% of viewers. The viewer can't visualize what you're saying to what they are seeing in the video, which 2 long minutes of nothing (visually). You need to provide useful visual aid if you're going to talk and give background information, because this is a video, not an article. Sorry if this sounds overly negative, just felt like this video should have been, at most, 4 minutes long.

I know you can order Dr. Bronner from Amazon if you can't find it locally. However, I don't know if there is a direct replacement for the soap.

Try Fels Naptha bar soap. It would be in the laundry aisle. I feel the dr bonners attracted more dirt afterwards due to it being oil based. Anything with white mesh would look dingy. Still use dr bonners, but not on my shoes.

Where can I get jojoba oil?
@KyleTam
@KyleTam 5 жыл бұрын
So I personally didn't get jojoba oil and mixed it in - I took a premixed sample that I bought from a grocery store (watch til the end of the vid) and mixed that 1:1 with water
