Using confectioners sugar will stabilize it for at least 2 days. If you use too much sugar it will collapse in just a few hours.

Little tip: freeze the whisk on the mixer for about 30 mins before. I’ve noticed I get a few more days before it collapses and becomes liquid.

You can stabilize it with clear gelatin mixed with warm water until it thickens and cools down. Then add to your already whipped topping. Mix thoroughly.

It really only takes like 10 minutes to make😊. Hope it went well on TDay for you. Also you don’t really have to use vanilla powder or paste. You can just use pure vanilla extract, 1 or 2 tbsps, since that’s usually in the cupboard.

Measure out how many ounces of heavy cream you need. It’s same as the store 16 ounce tub is 16 ounces of heavy cream, I start that mixing on slow at first then I add 1 tablespoons of vanilla and 1/2 cup to 1 cup (depending on how sweet you want it) then I bump up the speed to medium. Keep a eye on it because it can go to far, whipping to stiff peaks. It takes a little time but the end result is so much better.

What sucks tho is a lot of heavy whipping creams for making it at home also have gums, oils, and sometimes even gelatin to make it thicker and stay stiff but it’s gross it almost defeats the purpose of making homemade I wish they’d stop putting shit in our food

yes, though you'd generally add one of those to stabilize it anyway. Cream of tartar is your typical choice for home use, because who wants whipped cream that deflates in an hour?

Try this... Add 3 egg whites in a medium-sized bowl (yolk removed). Add 1 tablespoon of white sugar. Use a hand mixer & gradually pour in 1 more tablespoon of sugar. Blend on high for a couple mins. with short breaks into between blending so your handmixer's motor doesn't wear out. Keep blending until it develops a creamy texture. ----------------------------------------------------- ...And there you go! You've got homemade whipped cream. Remember, it doesn't have preservatives like the commercial kind, so don't make too much at once.

@@TraziaRae you’re welcome! I just tried it yesterday for the first time and oh my goodness! I used 2 1/2 cups heavy cream 1 cup ricotta 1 cup powdered sugar 4oz cream cheese 1 tsp vanilla. It made way too much for a 2 tier cake but you can adjust the recipe to your liking of course. Enjoy 😊

Powdered sugar? Makes it taste nasty! I use regular sugar and it stays stable for as long as it lasts here. I was told to use a little Knox shake into the cream for stable cream but not sure why! Have you ever really had it last long enough to go flat?
