You mentioning about Jesus feeding the 5,000 makes me think of something that happened to our family many years ago. My neighbor and I decided to have a surprise birthday party/dinner for my husband and my foster daughter who was turning 17 years old. We made several pans of lasagna and enough salad for all that we had invited. Much to our surprise, my house began filling up with people....we ended up with 10 MORE people than we had invited!! People came in and said we knew you would mind so we brought so and so with us and they were right in thinking I would not mind because I never minded when people showed up at our home. My neighbor and I knew we had no way enough food to feed the large number of people that were there so we quickly got our families (which were 9) and told them NOT to take any food because we were going to run out. They willing agreed not to get in the buffet line and they did not. To my neighbor and I, we saw God perform a MIRACLE because not only was there PLENTY of food for everyone that, came there was plenty of food for our families and here is the amazing thing that we had LEFTOVER LASAGNA!! God is so good!! 😇

This video popped up in my feed. I'm a traditional Catholic mother of 3 sons and I quit working so that I could home school them many years ago. My only income was disability for 5 years. We had to move to a remote mobile home in Idaho and I don't even know how we survived to be honest. All those years we didn't have medical insurance but nobody ever got sick or got hurt. I never had a car repair I couldn't afford. None of my kids got cavities. Truly God was taking care of us during those years. My sons are all grown and my oldest is actually a priest now. He probably would not have had his vocation if we continued to live in the city and live that life. I was able to go back to work when my kids graduated high school and I make 6 figures and bought a small farm. God is generous with us. My 2 younger sons are in college now and I'm able to support them so that they can focus on getting good grades. Some days I can't understand why God has provided so well for us but I try not to question it too much. It might be because I lost my husband and there was no other source of income. Thank you for this video.

I’m in my 50’s now, no longer financially struggling, thank God. Hubs came to this country from a poverty stricken (3rd world) childhood. He swore he would NEVER raise our kids in poverty. And he made true. Before we married, he was making barely above minimum wage, scrubbing toilets,etc. He worked his butt off, now making well into 6 figures. Most of the ppl he worked with at his 1st job in the States are still barely it. He told me he didn’t come to the States to be a broke man. And with the grace of God, he isn’t anymore. Our 3 kids never had to suffer like he did, and for that, they’re grateful.

I buy a chilled rotecerie chicken from Walmart . The chilled ones are $4.99 and sometimes they get marked half off . I use it for chicken salad, chicken casseroles or just with vegetables. I put the skin and bones in a crockpot and cook for several hours making chicken broth. I freeze the broth in baggies to use in soups,sauces ,gravies, dressing and use it to cook rice. The broth is richer than store bought broth ,I get close to a gallon of broth . My dog gets what is left of the broth process ,no part gets wasted.

I don't recommend buying cheap meat because it's cheap for a reason. And I once saw how animals are kept and fed that are sold as cheap meat and if you knew too you would puke. Honestly. I'm vegetarian now. They have their lab magic to make it look and smell "ok" (althoughmost cheap meat already looks weird and just pumped with water and all kinds of things). People honestly get cancer from this. In the long term which makes it even more diabolical. 30 years down the line you get a pancreas cancer diagnosis and you think "how did I get this". 80-90% of the times it's food and pollution that causes cancer in humans that live healthy otherwise

My husband and I calculate what the meals cost us to make at the cheapest we can purchase the items and bake from scratch. We then compare how much we saved if we would have eaten it in restaurant. The savings just give us a charge. Some people say we are cheap sometimes they say we are mean cause i don't involve in expensive activities. I say we are frugal. That permits us to save money to travel to visit our Son and also help charities that we could not help if we were not frugal. Tks for your video. I truly felt blessed by it.

I’m a first time viewer and now a Subscriber, I really enjoyed your video. My children are long gone and we are retired but I still use this “money saving hack” by planning once a month cooking, you set your menu for the month so you always know what you are going to have for dinner and if something changes your evening plans you are not temped to eat out because you don’t have a plan for dinner. There is a book published by two women that is titled Once a Month Cooking, it takes you through the learning curve, they even go over how to do this without a freezer and just a refrigerator freezer if that is all you have available. The cheapest diet and healthiest is a Vegan diet. You can create fantastic meals with pulses, seeds and grains. Also, check out wild herbs in the woods nettles, dandelions, cleavers, all free and nutritious And save animal lives too blessed be x
@noth96172 ай бұрын
This was going to be my advise too. Not because I went vegan to save money, but seeing the price of sausages the other day, it's a nice bonus. We used to spend $80 a week on meat. I can't even imagine what that is now. I make curries with cauliflower and chickpeas instead of chicken, I make my own seitan. I use lentils and TVP in bolognaise or on pizza. I make egg salad sandwiches and wraps with blocks of tofu. A $3 block of tofu or $1.50 can of beans is the star of the dish, but chicken is $20 a kilo. Extreme savings if you were to write it down. And that's before you even have special meat like a roast or something.
@nicoleanthoine60462 ай бұрын
Veggies and fruit are very expensive and don't fill anyone up. We stopped buying all of that and just buy meat. It reduced our grocery budget and life is so much simpler. If we can't grow it we won't buy it very often. Also having chickens had really helped as they free range all day. 8 -10 eggs a day. So guess what we eat a lot of lol

@@nicoleanthoine6046 I feel sorry for you if all you put in your body is meat and eggs. I can only imagine what your bowel movements are like. We eat multiple different types of rice, multiple different types of starches, grains and carbs. Nuts, chickpeas, lentils, beans, wheat, rye, gnocchi, black bean noodles, sweet potato noodles, soba noodles, breads, flat breads, naan, etc. there's lots you can fill up on if you don't do that much veg but mainly our bowls are full of veg and that stuff is all a supplement. You'd be surprised. There's nothing you can't get from plants that you can get with a balanced plant based diet. B12 can be tricky but that's supplemented into nutritional yeast and some of our milks if you don't want to make your own milk. I have 4 kids and go to the gym every day. Im a weightlifter. Don't need meat or eggs for anything at all.

I can attest to her thought process. Flashback to 2010, I budgeted my family to the penny, tracked every purchase, coupon shopped and comp shopped. Literally balanced a checkbook religiously! I had to, it was survival. Here we are in 2024. I still actually balance our accounts weekly. I still budget us to the penny. I am also still very frugal, some call it “being cheap.” My Husband and I work very hard and have both achieved 6 figure salaries. However, I still budget our family as I did in 2010 and don’t spend in excess. Our Children, while in private school in all transparency, are not raised to be privileged. They have no idea that we are okay and not struggling … They don’t really get to eat out unless it’s absolutely necessary or an event/holiday. We should both be able to retire in the next 5 years(at 50). I feel extremely blessed to have learned what I did through the struggle! You never know what life will bring. Stay Humble, Thankful and ALWAYS, ALWAYS give back when you can to any organization who helps those who are down💕💕💕

I just subscribed. Thank you for this. I work casually at an animal shelter and when theres work its fantastic, but it will suddenly stop when the animals are rehomed or they hire more full time staff, and the casuals will get less work. Im feeling so torn at the moment, because i really dont want to work, and when i work im very stressed out anyway, so im glad i dont have any shifts. I want to play homemaker and i love being home, but some things in place in my life require additional funds and im realising to realistically stay home long term with how the economy is going, im going to have to make some big changes. There are things that i cant decide if they're necessary or luxuries. Two of my kids do jiujitsu which is $225 a month for both of them. I feel like at this point that is an important thing, but they both complain about going, so im so torn on it. I also have audible and kindle subscriptions, $25 a month. These keep me sane and help me to achieve my chores and give a dopamine hit. I see a PT weekly ($55) as well as pay a $9.99 gym membership fee. I know i could quit the PT but feel a loyalty to her and i also feel like i wouldn't go as much if i didnt have her to keep my accountable. Its also a little therapy session as its nice to chat with someone if only for half hour a week. My boys and i do piano and it brings me great joy. I dont think that $70 a week ($105 when its every second week and i do it too) is negotiable because its such a valuable thing to know how to play music. I feel like such a failure when our biggest expenses i can't even be critical about and say "dont need" i would rather eat bread and water than give up piano or the kids sports but i have to make changes somewhere. Or find a way to make income. 😢

Thanks for sharing. I think having the right perception towards money helps. I understand as a born again believer in Jesus, money is something to give to others. It’s not something to serve. Even then, it’s important to understand that we are stewards, not the supplier of our every need. God is the supplier. God’s word talks about serving the Lord with gladness. With that being said, I find it helps to learn how to be a giver and something like spending just depends on if someone ask for it or need it. I find that there are others who enjoy giving too so it helps to know when God covers us to receive from others in love. Finally, learning how to treasure God’s presence helps me be satisfied and not stress about having more material things. As a result, I spend less and end up giving towards others or spend on necessary things to deal honestly.

I understand, pretty lady! I have more to say on this topic, but if moving back in with your family means more of a sense of community and it makes sense to your life, I would "break up" with the modern world's notions that we need to be "out on our own." This, in my opinion, is pop culture over the past 30+ years, telling women that they need to have a glamorous apartment of their own in NYC and "find themselves."

To save money I cook at home all meals , I’m always looking for sales when I find for example meats on sale I buy a lot because next time you need it it doubled, if I can’t go out to parties I stay home and watch a good movie on tv and many more things and it works.

First time viewer. I have a KZbin channel as well, that consists of thrifting, and living grand on the cheap. Love Dave Ramsey, too. His teachings changed our lives. I subscribed, and look forward to more! ❤ And the $18,000 per month statement made me say out loud, “She’s going to get lots of comments about that!” lol. I make mistakes in my videos, and I cringe, but it happens.

We need more content like this showing real homemaking not aesthetically pleasing houses and new wardrobes every season. I’ve been right there with you. Our first year of marriage, my husband brought home $800. I scraped together the rest from working online holding babies. The biggest thing that helped me is staying home. Staying out of the stores. We buy most of our food in bulk from our co op, and we grow the rest. All of our clothes are from goodwill. Being content with your home and learning to love staying at home is so helpful!

I loved that the two of you planned for your children to play sports as they grew older! In Scandinavia we believe in children being physically active and joining a sports team because it will benifit children in so many different ways. Eg. learning to be social in a new setting without parents/siblings/classmates, learning to take instructions outside of family and school and also from a coach and such, to work together for something as a team. I was very shy as a child and played sports and those moments I struggles shortly with friends at school, I had my friendships within my team. It builds confidence and during tournaments you can practice being away from home for a few days when it’s in other cities. I also remember the good feeling of working hard and getting better and it does wonders for the mental health and not only the physical health The list goes on :) / Scandinavian Ps. Playing tournaments with children from other countries made me want to study even harder during English lessons, so it would be easier to communicate with the children from other countries. I still have some of those friendships, even though we are in adulthood these days.

I was shocked by your 18k / month and then I saw your pinned comment😂 this video was really inspiring, on this low income journey. I didn't think we would have the money to homeschool our 5 children, but I was lead to Christian Light Education and it was a life saver for me. They are loving it, n I'm able to save the extra money elsewhere
