I'm loving your Arizona home just coz of following your channel from just about the time you decided to move from Utah. It's great to see how you're turning it from a house into such a joyful, cozy home. ❤❤ Tip on the grapes and strawberries, soak them in a little vinegar before storing them. They'll last longer. This was a great motivation for meal prep especially! Thank you!

I use the arm and hammer fruit and veggie wash and it removes that film that is sprayed on produce that doesn’t come off with water. A friend is a grocer and recommends it or a vinegar soak bc he said you would be surprised of all the hands, bugs and sometimes rodents that touch food in various transport across the country. Water isn’t enough!!!

I get the feeling from your last 2 videos that you are regretting your move to Arizona. Personally I think it's dangerous to compare your current home to your previous one because naturally the nostalgia of the last place will give you "rose colored glasses" about that house. Just remember that you left for a reason and don't let yourself dwell on the things you loved about the old house if it's not something immediately achievable at the new place.

I suffer from depression and also have hashimotos and RA. Sometimes it’s very hard to keep my house cleaned and organized, I just don’t always have the energy to get it all finished. I think it fits the living room better with the tree. Congrats on finally getting your coffee table I know how long you've waited. I don't meal prep but probably should it seems like such a daunting process I don't think I have actually looked at it as a timesaver. I love the new furniture placement! To me, the couches facing each another make the room feel balanced such that I don't notice the off-centered fireplace. Edited to add: We add celery, diced tomatoes, and chicken along with the rest to our jambalaya. Delicious! I don't care for shrimp, but that's an option, too. I like to make mine in the pressure cooker. Pretty quick!

Both homes are beautiful Amanda, I get the idea that the other one was “done”. I loved our home in PA but here in Texas it is a totally different lifestyle. I love our home here for our current way of living, I really can’t compare the two. They both have/do serve us well. Enjoy the time you’re in, time goes way too fast!

I love love loved the style and decor of the Utah home . That house was so cozy and “homey”. The way you guys finished that basement was everything ! All the windows in the kitchen / dining area , the basement , the decor 🥰🥰🥰🥰 . I love the couch in front of the tv and chairs to the side simply because my OCD wouldn’t let me relax with the off centered fireplace lol . I feel it’s much more noticeable with the couches facing each other ! I wasn’t fond of those couches at first but I like the warmth and color they bring to the room .

I've been doing a very similar DIY type menu planning board for years and it's a game changer. I even color coded mine (red for beef meals, green for vegetarian, etc) b/c it felt like all we ever ate before was chicken and now we have a greater variety.

Love the dark new table, and love the couches the way you have them right now, and maybe it is because of the tree. I found your channel when you were in your old home and loved your channel because of your decode and layout. However, this home rocks! I don't know what I'd do with all of that space! I like this house more than the other one. I personally like an older home with defined rooms. I find I can give each room more personality but still have them coordinate. I think the chairs look good facing the fireplace especially with the tree there. The popsicle sticks are a neat idea. When I wash my fruits and veggies I use a spray bottle with ACV and water 50/50 then rinse in cool water. Because it's just hubby and I, I don't prep much it's more of what we feel like having for the day gets prepped in the morning.

Great video. I like the setting with the chairs like in the video. The meal planning with magnetic sticks we have like this since years - I painted the craft sticks white and then added the labels. It is so easy to add new recipes or get rid of old ones we do not eat anymore.

Your coffee table looks great! I like it the way you have it set Up with the chairs at the end. I always wash my veggies and fruits! I either use Trader Joe’s veggie wash or I have a collapsible plastic dish pan and I mix baking soda and water in it and wash the produce that way. Strawberries are the number one fruit that hold onto pesticides. So we either eat organic or don’t eat then very often. I prepare cucumbers, peppers, celery and carrots ahead of time. We call it salad bar and always have the fixings to make a salad anytime. If you wash all your fruits, apples, oranges etc before and then put them in the refrig they are so easy to grab and eat.

Hi Amanda. I like the way you rearranged your living room with the chairs near the tree. Also a little trick for your white board. When you need to erase, just scribble over the old words with the dry erase marker again and then it wipes off easy. Going to try the jambalaya recipe soon.

Amanda, I never put oil into my sink until you told us about it. Now I add it everyday! I love the new coffee table! My favorite way for your furniture was the way you had it before. It still looks good now too. I never even noticed the build ends wasn’t the same size until today. That’s a great idea on the meal planning and a way to get the whole family involved. I get straight up from dinner and get my dishes done and kitchen cleaned because once I sit down I know that I won’t want to do them. I never go to bed with a dirty kitchen! With the coffee table centered with the fireplace, I think the couches work really well across from each other! I LOVE watching your videos! I recently had an awful experience with some vegetables that had some worms in my asparagus. I started to use the veggie wash from Trader Joe’s and I will NEVER eat fruit and vegetables without washing them again! I tell everyone to use it now. I prep all my grapes, peppers, potatoes, carrots and pretty much all produce. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family!

I think your instincts for changing your living room is good; with the Christmas tree the couches facing works well. When the tree comes down, you can change it up again. It is nice that when it doesn’t feel right you still have options to change it up. I never noticed that the fireplace is off center.

My favorite house style are the bungalow with the porch and porch swing. But really it doesn’t matter, as long as there is love and happiness! I love your new coffee table, and the way your room is arranged. Thanks for sharing your food prep!

I just amazed at all of the work you guys have done. Everything looks great. I like the chairs where they are now regardless of the tree. I think the chairs in this location opens up the space better. It's lovely .

I love seeing you making this house into a home, and love seeing the boys having so much fun with the pool/background. But I absolutely loved your Utah home and all the work you both put into it. It touched my heart seeing Luke's sadness being reminded of his other home. I love both homes it hard to say which one is my favorite. Their is different things about each house I like over the other.
