We do not have any big plans this fall. I'm a home body too. We are still in recovery mode. I live in the mountains of Western NC where hurricane Helene ripped us a new one. We are used to preparing for winter weather and snow, not a hurricane. Now we have 4 roof leaks, a very soggy area under our home that we are trying to dry up and prevent mold. We were without power for 8 days with no generator so we lost all the food in our refrigerator and freezer. We are all alive and still have a house so we are blessed.

When I was working full time as a nurse and had 3 teens and a large house, laundry was my nemesis. But when my youngest son had an accident in his freshman at college I was making trips from our home to where he was trying to stay in school (6 hours away). I found that keeping the laundry done gave me a sense of order in a life that was anything but. It completely changed my life to admit this discipline into my life. The laundry room became my favorite room. I started decorating it like other rooms in my house because I started living what that room brought to my life.

Amanda, I so relate to you on so many levels. My anxiety heightens if I don't have order, cleanliness in my home and yet sometimes I feel overwhelmed on what needs to get done, taking care of my home while doing my best to take care of my physical and mental health. That is my priority. Never here to judge you. It is so relatable to see the real life you share. Funny how you tackled the light fixture that honestly is forgotten 😅 I'm not one to go to concerts as of the last few years but it's mostly bc I tend to be more of a homebody as well. Hi Amanda! I’ve been with you for about three years now. I suffer from MULTIPLE Autoimmune diseases, and have been on Keto since Feb 2024. I’ve lost 50 lbs also! But even better is how much my diet is making me healthier and my diseases Less Symptomatic. I am also a chronic pain patient that has been house and bed bound for 12 years. Your hack of cleaning the tub with a broom is the only way I can clean my tub…thank you for the hack! I want to say you look fantastic, but more importantly, how is your hashimotos? Are you experiencing less symptoms. There are so many of us out there that need help. I am really happy you are sharing about your Keto experience. My husband and I are ZERO a sugar and ZERO artificial sugar substitute family. We drink water, and that’s it. This has made the biggest difference in my opinion. Amanda crafting of any kind is a hobby. You do so many little crafts and refinishing furniture. It’s ok that they are to make our home beautiful. They are still hobbies. I like concerts and stage shows too. My daughter 38 is taking me to see SIX the musical it’s a late birthday present that we are both excited about. No 1 fan 🇦🇺

I think going to shows is a great hobby! Not every week or anything, but you could find local places with music to go to or something. Having experiences is such a great use of time! I also go to see tribute bands and it's a total blast.

Every year our family goes to our local farmers market and takes photos and pick out pumpkins! We have a family day where we carve and just enjoy each other‘s company. This past weekend we were actually able to do that along with a community fall festival 🤎🎃🍁

Loved this video! I can totally relate to the state of our laundry rooms. Mine is so cluttered&dirty&it's been on my to do list. The dryer has fabric softener that ran down it from using the autospout&the wash machine is filthy on the top under the lid. After seeing this that is my weekend project 💯. I definitely lose weight eating lower carb but I think I need more meals ideas that the whole family can eat since they’re not watching the types of carbs they eat. Oh Amanda I do think sometimes we will tell ourselves I can wait till later to deep cleaning but then it starts to stare at you get it done. Thank you for the motivation I certainly needed it. I turned 70 this month and I have had to adjust to my cleaning routine. It was great to see you go to a concert with your son. I did that with my 3 and my daughter loves it. She is 39 and we still go together when we can. Another thing I did with my sons I would have a date night with one of them once a month. We would pick a place to go eat and I would let him order out meal and have the experience with the waitress. He would pay the bill(of course I would give him the money) and leave the top. Sometimes we go to a movie. It was such a joy for them to know how to handle life when their time comes. My hobby is reading. Thanks for the tips today. Can't wait to meet the next make over. Just the motivation I needed. I’m so excited for you with your weight loss and health journey. I have Hashimotos as well and other autoimmune issues as well. A huge thing that has helped me is switching uncommon things like detergent and hand soaps to without endocrine disrupters. ESO has laundry detergent and soaps. Going gluten free helped a ton also. I am shifting towards a keto-ish lifestyle. Super excited to see your fav meals video 🎉

With the cat litter - I find facing my robot towards a wall makes it so they can’t jump out and spray the litter all over as easily! I also have mats like yours farther from it too to catch everything and make it nicer to walk through the area

It's tough when your body doesn't always cooperate with things that have to get done, but it's like you said-it'll be there when you're ready to tackle it! My non-toxic switch I can recommend is Norwex cleaning products & their body care (shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, deodorant, & skincare). I make a calendar each year with photos of my boys or granddaughter etc but this month is a collage of all of the concerts we went to. Breaking Benjamin, Morgan Wallen, Jason Alden to Pitbull with my 75 yr old dad (that will literally be a moment we remember for the rest of our lives). Life is short .. buy the tickets 💕

I recently bought a shark cordless handheld vacuum like the one in your silverware drawer short. I love it ❤ it is the best handheld I've ever owned. I highly recommend shark cyclone vacuums if anyone is looking for a good handheld for quick clean ups. I want to upgrade my corded vacuum to a corded shark vacuum I saw at Walmart my house is mostly carpet so I am realizing how important a good vacuum is.

My most neglected area is out the front of our townhouse. I need to cut back the plants (I hate gardening!) wash the front door, screen door, sliding doors, and decobweb, and sweep the cement. We always enter and exit through our back door and garage so it's just so easy to pretend the front doesn't exist but I really do have to get around to it!!! We don't own a pressure washer or plant clippers for big plants so I don't even really know HOW to do what needs to be done. Maybe your husband can give us an outdoor video?! Hey Amanda. Since finding out I have Celiac one of the substitutions I have made is Aldi’s sweet potato chips. I still get the chip experience without the gluten. And bonus, it appeases my sweet tooth!
