In Eastern Europe, we mix raspberries and sugar in proportion to 1:1 or 2:1, depending on how sweet you want it, then put it in jars and keep it in the fridge. We use this "jam" as a base for tea (the best when someone has a cold), also delicious on bread or even in a salad dressing if you strain the seeds.
