I love tent camping!! On the river in the smokey mountains of NC! We do have a bath house for nightly showers and love sitting around the camp fire in the evenings. Breakfast is the BEST meal of the day when camping. I love sitting in a chair in the river as well!❤

We used to camp in a pop up tent trailer. I loved it because I could keep it clean and the mattress beds were so comfortable. I’ve never been able to sleep well on the ground. We went to Big Trees up above Arnold several times. One of the things we would do is I’d have my boys look for a good walking stick and I’d bring along things to embellish them with. They would find feathers that I would attach with beads and anything else I could think of. Great family memories.

So peaceful to get away from everything, unplug & just relax & enjoy each other. We used to go camping on the river when the kids were young. The kids would share A tent & each couple would have their tent. We would use tiki torches to light around the campsite. We'd build a firepit for fires at night & a smaller one with rocks & a metal grate to sit pots/pans on for cooking. And we had A small table top charcoal grill for grilling. I loved doing eggs with sausage & bacon every morning on the little pit with my cast iron pan, and we'd usually grill hotdogs over the fire or burgers on the grill at night.. and there was always one night we'd grill steaks & corn on the cob. We did sandwiches during the day, lots of fruit, and snacks were always available. We had A boat & my nephew & his wife had a pontoon so we did lots of boating, tubing.. and lots of fishing day & night! We would go for the day sometimes every weekend or every other weekend & then camp for several nights about every 3wks. Since it was only about 30min from home it was easy to do. I miss those days! My son talks about them often, some of his best childhood memories! Making those memories with family is very special😊 Thanks for sharing your trip with us, its a really beautiful area!

What a lovely, relaxing video! I could almost smell that fresh coffee and bacon cooking! Every summer growing up, my parents took us to Yosemite to stay in the tent camp there. My father passed a few years ago and my mother followed. So this really brought tears to my eyes thinking of all those memories. I have Lyme disease and am severely limited physically so my camping days are over. Camping and those memories you will build with your children is a real blessing for them. They will cherish the memories always!🌲🍄❤

Sarah, this brought back so many childhood memories. We use to go visit friends in New Hampshire & go tent camping beside a beautiful river there, way back in the woods. The water was so clear and clean we were able to drink it. That was about 60 years ago. It was so much fun. 😊❤😊

We camped in Texas in the summer in a canvas tent when I was a kid. Stayed about 5 -7 tdays. We were by a lake but I remember at night how still it was and sticky hot with the mosquitoes buzzing at your ears. It was the 70’s and it was awful trying to fall asleep but now it’s great memories. We did the same several friends and families had camps next to us.

Hahahha, this isn't camping, it's what we call Glamping. I absolutely love camping. Being outside all the time, cooking out on a fire for every meal. If we camped like this, I'd do it all summer. Thanks for bringing us along on your glamping adventure.

We camped as kids on leaky air mattress, sometimes on rocky ground, in a sometimes leaky tent depending on the wind and rain! Occasionally nice days..so much work for my mom! Coleman stove, and the classic green Coleman cooler. Supplies from Army Navy surplus stores..good times! They really were. Its the only time we got fried Spam, loved it! One year my brother came down with the mumps, shows you how long ago this was. Other than my sister locking herself in the car crying because she got stung by a bee on her lip, they were pretty drama free! You could easily take people camping, Id go! I miss the smell of the woods..❤ you, friend

We used to camp in a tent when we were first married then we used our parents motor home and later purchased a small camper. Our children are now grown and we sold our camper about 3 years ago. Over the past few weeks, my husband and I have been looking for a camper once again. We would like to use it to travel in the winter months to a warmer climate. We will be celebrating 15 years of marriage this February. God has been so good to us and we love enjoying the outdoors. To witness his handiwork is such a blessing. ❤️

It is great to be out in nature. I bought a camper last year. My bff and I glamp with our dogs. My husband has no interest in camping, but he hunts, fishes, golfs, and plays poker with his cousins. It is nice to have a camper vacation and decompress.

I've never been tent camping. We had an RV when I was growing up, so we "camped" in that. In recent years, we have started visiting a pioneer cabin, with no electricity or running water, but a vault toilet and water pump a little ways outside and showers at the ranger station. No phone service or internet make it very relaxing and peaceful. I love going in early fall!

It’s been years since I’ve been camping. I actually think I was 22 years old and I’m 62 now. I’m not really a fan of it although I’ve always had a nice time with Family. i WOULD MAYBE CONSIDER THAT A "SCREEN" and movies isn't totally unplugging, and you taped this episode..... My husbands grandmother and her husband and small babies LIVED in a tent for over 2 years....This was in Ohio, and it was a 10 by 20 army issue tent with wood plank flooring.... the cookstove was in the middle of the tent for warmth.... It gets quite cold in winter...this was during the 930's, and you did what you needed to do...
