Really appreciate this. I’m often looked down upon by my friends for staying home with my kids and not having a traditional paying job. I know I’m called to be home and raise them.

I work 40 hours a week outside my home and I would much rather use those 40 hours for productivity for my family and our home than for a corporation. I have the most esteemed respect for women who stay home raising their children well, if more families could do this the world would be better off. Don’t worry what your “friends” think when God is smiling on you.

That’s good you understand God’s calling on your life for this. It’s really simple, if we sow into the Holy Spirit, we will reap eternal life. Learning to deny the lust of the flesh by the power of the Holy Spirit is the best way to live, even when you have a commitment with your family.

Just a thought, I know it's been a while since you wrote this comment, but I wanted to say that it's not traditional for women to have jobs outside the home. It IS traditional for women to be home managers and mothers. They should see themselves as the weirdos - not you!

Love this. The Lord spoke to me while at my friends house. We were listening to worship music, she was holding her baby, and I was admiring her homemade Christmas decorations. God said “Tell her, that her taking care of her home and children, is worship to me.” She lost it. I think as a new Christian, she really needed to hear that 💖

I’m a mama of two special needs kids and there was a time where my son got surgery and I was doing the best I could with the situation that I was in. I would put him in a walker so that he wouldn’t hurt his wound. I also felt guilty because I wasn’t able to work outside the home. My son had a day nurse during that time and she was super sweet and loving with my son and myself. She was Christian too. We had a visit from the occupational therapist and physical therapist saying that if I kept putting my son in a walker he wouldn’t be able to walk at all and it would be my fault. My nurse told me before she left I can’t leave without saying this “you are doing the best you can with the situation you are in. you are a good mom and don’t let someone that only sees him for an hour judge you when they have no clue what you deal with on a daily basis.” I know God was talking through her. My work in the home is worship to God. Even if my husband or anyone else appreciates it God sees it and he won’t forget. My son is now healthy and running/climbing like any normal 4 yr old! I did what I could and God’s grace covered the rest. Im thankful she didn’t leave that day without telling me.

I'm glad God has allowed me to meet your channel😊 I'm 17 years old and in school I was always asked about what I wanted to be, so I always thought I needed to have a lot of money, and be independent, be attractive etc, so, as I get older more I realize that it is going to be so hard to do it on my own, to be independent and do everything all by myself, it would not make me happy, I feel so overwhelmed when I'm in a place where there's a lot of people, and I feel like everyone is just trying to be better than others, so I don't want to be in a competition for the rest of my life, I just want to be free, to live a quiet life in my own, I want to live for His honor, not for the applause of man, btw your channel is like an inspiration for me, I hope I can be a proverbs 31 woman when I get older, I hope I can honor Him in everything I do, because ( Ecclesiastes 1:14 NIV) [14] I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

This is so helpful. I often feel like my role as a homemaker isn't my purpose, that it's not enough or it's not fulfilling. My husband works, my children have needs and it's my job and privilege to be the one to care for our space. And to do it with love, not dread. My family deserves it. Whatever I do, I should do so as if I'm doing it for the Lord. I've been slacking and struggling. Thank you for the encouragement. You're lovely and so is your home.

The thing about the Proverbs 31 woman is that she is a woman with an entire life span. She could be feeding her children when they are young, and making money when they are older. She could be choosing fields in one season, and then making clothes and clothing her family in the next. Anything sounds like a lot of work, but each day can have a different activity. She did not do all these things at once and was not expected to. The span of time is definitely worth considering

I feel so stupid and worthless. I started watching your videos to try and be a better homemaker, because I am not good at it. Honestly I'm not good at anything. I was raised by a single mom, my dad was a slackoff and my whole life I've listened how men are worthless and abusive. And want us as maids only. Now I have a good husband. He is a Godsend. But I suck at being a good wife. I've become depressed after birth, only now I'm slowly waking up. I've found God only lately and I can't help but feel cheated out of so many years... I fight with my own pride daily and fail. I wish I had your wisdom. I'm trying but today is a day where I feel like I've failed. My husband, my children. My Lord. And me. I hope I will become at least in part as good of a woman as you. Thank you for what you do.

As an older woman (66) and I can tell you it’s a process and takes a lifetime. Give yourself the grace God gives. If you weren’t taught you can’t expect yourself to excel. You can learn by being around other godly women. Never take criticism or flattery to heart. Both will bring pride or shame. Do the best you know how, but try to eat the elephant of excellence one tiny bite at a time. Ask God daily to direct your steps, then lean heavily into trusting Him. He gently leads women. Yes, the adversary stole many years of your life, but those years, those tests, will be your testimony as you mature. God redeems the years the locust and cankerworm consumes. He will redeem those years for you. Ask Him! Every good and perfect gift comes from God to His children. Everything that steals from you, kills you or your joy and destroys comes from the adversary. He’s a deceiver. Don’t ever trust the Father of lies. Those negative thoughts in your head come from demons assigned to you. Every time they speak negativity say, “that isn’t my thought, leave now in Jesus’ name”. NEVER compare. Comparison is the thief of joy and hope. You are ONE OF A KIND. it’s like comparing the Mona Lisa to a Picasso. Which one is better? God has put gifts and talents in you that no one else has. They have to be developed as you trust Him. You are fearfully and wonderfully designed. Consider this: if you have a baby, would you expect her to be able to read as well as you? Would you demand she scrub the kitchen like a pro? You are a babe in Christ. If you can wash a dish you have a skill. Wash it like you’re washing for Jesus. If you can fold a towel, fold it like you’re folding it for the Lord. The more you do this, the better you will be at all your skills. Always give a bit more, do a bit better. God loves you just as you are, where you are. Delight yourself in Him, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Be encouraged. Nana Cherry

This video has blessed me so much. I’m preparing myself for marriage and motherhood in a Godly way without any women to look up to in real life. I won’t tell my whole story, but before I was saved let’s just say I was a rebellious leftist stereotype with all the trimmings, I’ve become much softer but I still have so far to go in my knowledge. As a woman with this kind of history, trauma and a mental illness with no family guidance, I don’t think I’ll ever measure up. Every day all I see is my failures and mistakes. I try my best but always end up making mistakes. I look at beautiful, Proverbs 31 women like yourself and don’t feel I’ll ever measure up. The harder I try the more I realise how far I have to go. My biggest struggle is controlling what I think and say, especially having bipolar, a lack of impulse control makes it so hard. I wasn’t socialised properly up until adulthood, so I’ve spent years learning basic human communication. I always have good intentions but people misinterpret my words and see the worst in me. I was raised in a cult family and wasn’t allowed to speak. There is so much pressure to say and do the right things all the time and I am just not equipped. I walk away from social interactions with embarrassment all the time. I’ve stopped socialising because of the pressure. I’ve been wondering lately what grace does God lend to those with disabilities, and where do we fit? I read in a forum online that people with mental illness should choose to be alone forever because we are a burden. The pastor at my church says that we must hold ourself to God’s standards, he won’t lower them for us. I love God’s standards but I can’t live up to them because having sever mental illness is a daily struggle. I always try my best and will continue to try my best to improve every day. I don’t know where I fit as a woman who wants to be a wife, mother and homemaker but an imperfect version. Has anyone else dealt with any of these concerns or challenges? I see so many amazing Godly women on KZbin that make it look so easy, so graceful and poised. Thank you

I am sending you the biggest hug, it is so difficult especially when we compare ourselves to other women without the added pressures of our brains being differently wired, and there is no way to live up to God, if you spend your life trying to do that you will always feel like a failure, I spend my days being kind, doing my best when I can and on days where I can’t accepting that that is ok. Women are cyclical beings, we have times in our cycles where we need more rest, we have times when we have more energy, and men, no matter who they are or how great they are, can’t expect us to be like them. Give yourself a break, I am sure you are wonderful just as you are.

Honey, that pastor is only half right. Yes, God has high standards and He can't lower them because He is a just God, but He also knows we can't meet them, that's why we need Jesus! Jesus died for us and His blood covers us. So when God looks at us, He sees Jesus's blood and He finds us faultless! As a woman struggling with childhood trauma and anxiety and depression I struggle to believe God accepts me as I am while also being a God of justice. But He is both! He is holy but He made a way for us to connect with Him through Jesus BECAUSE He loves us and wants to be with us. Jesus died for each of us as if we were the only ones on the planet, even the ones who would spit in His face. And because He died for us, we do not have to earn His approval. We already have it! Just building a relationship with Him will change you, you will want to please Him and automatically produce fruit! You don't have to strive to be what everyone else considers a good woman. Let that be between you and God! This standard is not a bad standard but it is a man made one. And I guarantee the graceful and poised woman of God is either not showing the down sides or she has been with God a long time and done a lot of hard growing. Please go easy on yourself and just focus on Him, know you are already loved and accepted by Him, and let Him help you grow and heal. Also, the people in that forum do not represent God, nor do they represent a lot of people in the world, it's just one ugly forum, please do not listen to them. People with mental illnesses have worth and they have a place and a purpose. The Bible says God has no favorites, which means God loves both the mentally well and the mentally unwell and He sees our hearts. Everyone's journey is different, the mental illness journey may just be a little slower but it's a worthwhile journey

I’m decluttering, & bringing order to specific areas of my home each week or as I can, such as my closet. I know decluttering comes before organizing, but I find encouragement from organizing after I declutter that one area. Otherwise my entire house gets worse before it gets better. I have so much I want to do, but run out of energy & have a lot of back & shoulder pain. Plus, I’m a musician who writes worship music to God. That takes time too. Prayers please. TY for your videos.

I have a genuine question or two I should say. What if you would love to be a daughter of Christ and serve your family well but your husband is ungrateful of what you provide and down plays everything. What if You have tried to make genuine friendships but people are not are pure as they once were and everyone seems to take advantage of your kindness for their own personal gain. How do we go about these two situations when we are trying to live a slow meaningful life?

Hi Mama, thanks for sharing. I am really liking your videos. Can you please share your favourite place to get modest dresses? And how did you make the switch to wearing only dresses? I struggle to find it practical many days with a baby and two toddlers, running around and cleaning. I thought to maybe wear shorts underneath, since I am on the ground playing with my children a lot. Thoughts and tips? Thank you and God bless.

The Proverbs 31 woman is a type - however, many women that were similar could have easily existed. She was *not* a mother with little children - older children, an established business, she had servants... lots of time invested over years before getting to the point of life depicted in scripture. Give yourself TIME, ladies! ❤ this doesn't happen overnight. The season of life with many small children is different from what's described - breathe, apply these principles, raise those littles, build your skills when possible. In a decade or two, your season of life will be different.
