A marked contrast to families of other home invaders who get mad at the person defending his home, and talk about how the invader was just a gentle giant who was trying to make money for school clothes. A real difference in the heart.

The first video I’ve seen of ALL the videos on KZbin regarding this subject where the family actually takes responsibility rather than blame the homeowner. I won’t say why that is, but just for fun, look through a couple of the other videos and compare them to this one... people can complain and try to muddy the statistics all they want, but there is certainly a correlation present among people who are shot while breaking and entering and the response of the families of the criminals. Some (well this one) take responsibility and admit the mistake of the criminal was their own, while others... lets just say they have some very interesting excuses that make you wonder about the bigger picture.

I have a strange neighbor. My daughter called me at my job one day saying someone was in the house. I told her to barricade her door and call the police. She was a teenager and alone in the house - still in her bedroom. I ran home to investigate. I got there just after the police arrived. I later learned it was my weird neighbor. He got into the house through the rear patio. I asked him what he was doing - breaking into my house when my daughter was home in bed! He said he wanted to take my dog from the backyard on a walk and went inside my house to look for a leash! I told him I had given her permission to shoot anyone in the house when I’m not there - his eyes bugged out, but never said a word. He later stole our dog.

make sure to follow your state laws, shooting a fleeing burglar might be a little iffy for example since it can be argued the burglar is no longer a threat to yourself as he is leaving but by old goly if you feel your life is in danger or in serious bodily harm do what you have to.
@MrMustangMan
@MrMustangMan 3 жыл бұрын
just make sure you tell the cops "i was in fear for my life" THEN it is justified..... _an individual who uses deadly force or force other than deadly force under section 2 of the self-defense act has an honest and reasonable belief that imminent death of, sexual assault of, or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another individual will occur if both of the following apply:_ _(a) The individual against whom deadly force or force other than deadly force is used is in the process of breaking and entering a dwelling or business premises or committing home invasion or has broken and entered a dwelling or business premises or committed home invasion and is still present in the dwelling or business premises, or is unlawfully attempting to remove another individual from a dwelling, business premises, or occupied vehicle against his or her will._ _(b) The individual using deadly force or force other than deadly force honestly and reasonably believes that the individual is engaging in conduct described in subdivision (a).”_ _When it comes to using deadly force, the rule of thumb a person needs to remember is the force used must always be proportional to the threat. A homeowner would not be justified using deadly force on a person who broke into their home and was found passed out on the floor._ _Deadly force is only allowed under the law when self-defense is needed to prevent great bodily harm that could lead to death, rape, known as criminal sexual conduct and death. If you use deadly force, you must have a belief that you are preventing one of the three things listed above. Your belief must actually be reasonable when examined by all the facts that caused you to make the decision of using deadly force. To put it another way, a jury of your peers would have to believe you were preventing rape, a real threat of being killed and great bodily harm that could cause death._

@@MrMustangMan I would highly recommend not saying anything to any cops and talk to a lawyer immediately. If you own a gun for self defense you should have a lawyer who deals with self defense cases in your phone. But talking to the police will never help you in situations and may even hurt you more. Anything you say to them can and will be used against you in court but CAN NOT be used to help you in court do to hearsay laws. And the best thing is the prosecutor can call up the officer you made the statement and ask specific questions about your initial statement, which allows them the chance to pick and choose things from your statement to use against you. Many lawyers wish their defendant never talked to the cops since it would've been an easy case if they didn't. Hence anything you say to cops can only be used against you and not help you in court I would recommend not telling the cops anything. If you want to learn more about this I would recommend reading "You have the Right to remain innocent" by James Duane

Nice neighbors, and their family's.. my last questions is this, how did the neighbor know it was his nephew. = from only hearing a intruder was shot, did he know the nephew was going to do it? His first comment tells the truth, then corrects himself = i knew, i mean i suspected lol. Colombo would be all over this person, and following him around.. [ just one more thing Sir, you say you KNEW?]

@@timothymaxheaux just because your friend or relative goes out, does not mean every dead person on the news is them. I would get a warrant, and search the house. i bet they find other stolen shit from other places. If i can't get a hold of someone for a few hours i don't assume they are dead. You need more info into someone to come up with, i know for sure it was him. His nephew was doing this for sometime or other bad shit. Now hindsight, if after the shooting someone gives out minor info on the dead person = then i would use the back set driver comment [ i knew it was him] Even though i did not :). His comment was premature: with out knowing for sure. we always say this, due to past issues or problems. then when the bad thing happens, we use the prior issues as a crutch. = makes us feel better when something bad happens. This guy did not know it was him, unless the cops told him so, or that Text had the guys last rites on it. If he did know it was him, then we have found the missing Human link = he can see the future/mind reader. Or if he really knew it was him, he was in on the crime somehow. " Last" he just said the comment because of his feelings = he did not know for real. :)

You think it's your nephew. Well is your nephew home right now? Can you call or txt him? It's almost safe to say your nephew has joined his father.

Why the hell do reporters show crime victims houses after a home invasion?! It’s dangerous! You sb showing the criminals face! Who cares if he got his ass shot in someone’s home? He had no right to be there!! Those homeowners took out the trash and should get a citizen of the year 🥇 medal!

You know I watch a lot of these self defence news reports, and why is it that like 70% of the time when it’s a black assailant their family is like “he was a good kid who meant no one harm, the person who shot them should’ve just let everything happen” Yet 80-90% of the time when the assailant is white their family is like “he was having a rough time but my heart goes out to the victim who had to kill someone today” Perhaps if people started taking responsibility for this kinda shit it wouldn’t happen… sad either way
