This music of the moving scene between Homer and Wilma from William Wyler's great film "The Best Years of Our Lives" (1946) is from the 1978 recording of the original musical score of the film. The recording was approved by the film's composer, Hugo Friedhofer, who won the Academy Award for this score and who was up against much stiff competition for it. It was performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Frank Collura.
Along with the music are images from this scene in the film. The power of the music and the scene speak for themselves.
