I’ve been watching the whole series on Disney +. I’m currently on Season 23, and naturally I have finished every classic era episode and this one stands out as my all time favorite. It isn’t the funniest episode but it blends comedy and drama so well. Many people love “Marge vs the Monorail”, “Cape Fear”, “Last Exit to Springfield”, and others. However this episode is perfection and near the end I really teared up. Many people overlook this episode but I am in love with it.

This was a great episode. I had this and a dozen other episodes on video tape when I was a kid, and I used to watch it every weekend. It felt different as a kid. The seriousness of it didn’t dawn on me. Now, as a 32 year old with a wife and a kid, it hits so hard. I’m 100% sure that if I had 24 hours left, this is pretty much what I’d do.
