Nice review. I have got one (with 2 more on arrival). As for yours, it is not 100% perfect but I have done minimal adjusting to it and on my scalex track it goes really well (no magnet). I have put even an oXigen chip and this thing is fast and stable like my GT3 cars. It is going to be a nice digital class. I hope that they will come out with more interesting bodies in the near future.

Just wondering running on Scalextric track how much clearance is you car set for Harry says 1mm (frame to track clearance) on his routed track which is next to nothing.

Love my Acapulco blue one, just started to tune it for our six lane wood track, it's got to run on slot it unglued F22 tyres for our classics class. These cars are absolute marmite, if you don't like it then .......

Great review Harry! Mine makes the same noise with the gears. I’ll look into that screw. The pinion rubbed the inside of the tire. But with tuning these cars are runners for sure

On my blue Shelby, the pinion was also rubbing the tire, and front set screws for braids were rubbing the body shell. Some QC issues, but I can fix 'em so I can live with 'em

@@PorscheRacer61 just the cheap cleaning sponges with the scratch pad on the other side. Dollar store item. Just spray abit of Windex on them to clean the tires.

Good review. I love these cars as a racer and not too fussed about 'true scale' or 'ready to race'. Like you, I see no merit in running a car straight out of the box, it tells me nothing whatsoever, get the bodyshell off, work on the car, setting it up should be an enjoyable part of the hobby so just enjoy it and experiment, try stuff and learn what does what so the rest of your cars can benefit.

Great review! To me, all the rubbing, fitment issues, and lack of correct original assembly is very disappointing. Thunderslot needs to have better quality control. I understand and enjoy the tuning process but this seems like simple poor quality and lackluster assembly.

It does seem a little odd, to have so many little niggling things to fix. You pay the price you make your choice. Its Italian...........

$ they are NOT for novice if gear set screws are that loose. Sounds like my Harley. Made for Mechanics
