I’ll go first:
I’m Christina. I’m married to my best friend, Seth, we have 5 kids (ages 2, 3, 6, 10, & 14), and love our family, Jesus, and adventuring together.
We are passionate about being counter culture, including alternatives to traditional schooling. I have experience as a public school teacher, private school teacher, and homeschool mom!
I love the Charlotte Mason education approach, and many others, but I’d say I’m more of an eclectic teacher-mixing the different aspects of homeschool styles that I love-living books, literature-based learning, Montessori, and so much more!
Whether you are considering homeschooling, new to homeschooling, considering alternative ways to educate your child, or just looking for some encouragement and inspiration for your motherhood journey, I hope you feel welcome and encouraged here 🤍

I love how relaxed you are with letting your littles engage when they are interested. I like teaching them young to make independent choices in a safe space so they will be capable and confident when they’re older. And I loved the mud kitchen set up! My girls would love something like that.

How do your kids get up without nagging? Your highschooler doesn't do his own classes? Or is he grade 8? Thanks for sharing
@RootedHomeLife
@RootedHomeLife 2 жыл бұрын
Well I typically just let them wake up on their own (unless it’s getting too late), but I essentially don’t nag for anything. Obedience is something we talk about daily and the expectation is to be respectful and obedient. I often talk to them about how I am obedient to God even if I don’t understand because that’s the relationship I want with him, etc…He’s finishing up 9th grade. He does not do separate classes except for math. And you’re so welcome! ♥️

I love you're channel but I did want to say yoga really isn't something Christians should be doing. Not condemning just saying you should look into it I didn't realize it but definitely something we should know about.
@RootedHomeLife
@RootedHomeLife 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it’s really not yoga at all. I honestly wish they named it something else but I think it’s overused as almost a universal blanket term for stretching at this point. It’s like crab-walking, bend over and dangle your arms like a jellyfish…etc., nothing to do with actual yoga-I actually almost mentioned that in the video!
@RootedHomeLife
@RootedHomeLife 2 жыл бұрын
I feel like it’s really important though, so maybe reading these comments will help someone! Unfortunately in our world today we can be clueless to how yoga, magic, spells, horoscopes, witchcraft, Pokémon, anime, music, video games, etc., all have roots in the occult. It really rules out a lot of popular culture.

@@RootedHomeLife I really love your channel though. This is going to be my first year homeschooling so I really like how you show and explain things very well and I appreciate that. I also love how you were talking about apologetics for kids because I think that is so important.

My daughter likes anime and I don't like it and I explain to her that it is fake but I know she shouldn't be watching it at all but she's a great kid and I feel terrible telling her the 1 thing she's in to is something that isn't good 😔 its hard being a parent these days especially a true Christian parent! I wish I would've had my eyes open and loved Christ while they were younger but I explained to them I messed up and now unfortunately we all need to change things together. But again thank you for sharing your life with us!!
@LoveThemWell
@LoveThemWell 2 жыл бұрын
@@RootedHomeLife Yes, no worries. We know your heart. And I call it "yoga"....I guess I just don't know what else to call it. My husband and I have found the stretches to be super helpful as we are aging!
