LOVE THE ORGANIZATION! Something i am struggling with and i see my kdis are too. I see you copied the mfw e.c&c front for the binder. Smart idea. And the dividers. Would love a video or maybe you have one about how you organize each class, your space, etc.

Yes!! I did one at the beginning of the year about organizing a little bit, but I’m probably due to put another one together soon 😂.

Thank you for watching! Re: meals…I’m a creature of habit honestly 😂. Love my oatmeal and coffee in the mornings, I usually have a Clif bar or something pre-workout. I do enjoy those salads when I get them because they are so good & easy, but they can be pricey. Lunch is often something snacky because I’m either cleaning up after the kids, driving somewhere (once co-op and BSF starts) or squeezing in some work! Salad, fruit and yogurt are my go-to’s for ease, I also love those little peanut-butter filled pretzels (protein right? 😂). For dinner, we’ve been on a Hello Fresh kick, so we’ll do that a couple of times a week and other nights I’ll cook or throw in frozen pizza or get fast food 🤷‍♀️. And we don’t skip dessert either 😜 Definitely room for improvement here nutrition-wise! But this is what works for me in this season! Baby steps is always a good plan - just start small with one meal or snack, make it a habit, then change up something else 💜

Yes!! They are Dr. Seuss quotes! I ordered them/had them printed by someone on Etsy at least 10 years ago (I just checked, and the shop isn't up anymore).

No problem at all!! I actually don’t have a video on the portfolio, mine is kind of “loose” as I don’t have to turn in an official portfolio or anything for state records. But I do like to keep certain things organized. I’ll think about that for a future video! Thank you for the kind words! How old are your kids?

What a great video! As a new homeschooling mom, this is so encouraging! What does your little do while your are working with your older kids? I have trouble keeping my 1st grader from interrupting my olders!

Thank you so much for watching! Honestly, some days are better than others regarding the interruptions lol. I find that when I do his "school" first, it helps because he gets his bucket filled a bit, and doesn't seem to interrupt as much. I am also really lucky because my little one does a great job of playing by himself many days. He likes to play with his cars and dinosaurs, go jump on the trampoline (where I can see him from our kitchen), play with some apps on my tablet, etc. I am not against putting on a movie or letting him play on his video games either (he watched Jurassic Park for a bit on this day, which is his current favorite!). I think just having different activities available and including him when I can helps a lot!!

Yes!! We actually just did a lesson on Tuesday…we didn’t squeeze it in on this day though 😊.

What system do you use for bible memory? I seen you put them on an index . Ive seen a memory system before and wondering if you use any

Yes, I love using index cards for myself! We did a lot of Bible memory when my kids were in AWANA at church, but honestly it’s something I could get better at working with them on it again. I will say though that I LOVE Seeds Family Worship music. I played it often when they were little and still do occasionally (if you have Spotify you can look them up, or maybe on their website!). It’s straight scripture and not bad music (and has helped ME memorize a lot myself!). 😊

What grade are you using for the country and cultures? I see its from mfw (that's currently what ivuse for my younger two in prek and k. But im searching to find curriculum for my 5th grader. She currently uses abeka and its not for us! Im timid going into this searching for all the curriculum on my own but i want my daughter to thrive and not feel overwhelmed or pressured selhe needs to be at a certain level like everyone else in her abeka class (bc i can tell in some areas shes not and thats completely ok) i want he to master before she pushed tothe next lesson.

We used ECC with my 5th graders and 6th grader this year. I’ve loved it. The first couple of weeks are kind of a lot (lots of map work!) but then you get into a groove. We use CTCMath along with it and have used Learning Language Arts Through Literature this year for language arts 😊
